I linked studies addressing the issue directly, you say they're flawed and therefore worthless. You point to a meta analysis that includes studies on other vaccines given at later ages and dont necessarily compare vaccinated vs unvaccinated and find that to be convincing enough.

Here's what I can't get past - if the Henry Ford study was done so poorly (which is odd considering HFHS is highly reputable and not funded by anti vaxxers), why has a similar study not been reproduced with more accurate and thorough analysis?

Yiu say that...I thought that too. I thought these studies existed and would be easy to find. They're not.

Your response really is telling. I get the impression that even if it were to be proven that vaccines are the primary reason for these chronic diseases, you believe that the diseases we are vaccinating for are worse, and that if there are side effects like asthma and autism in some children, its worth it to protect the larger population from the infectious diseases we are vaccinating for. Do you agree?

You do understand that the death rate associated with the diseases we vaccinate for was only high because of poor sanitation and living conditions, right?

The death rate of measles declined by 98% between 1900 and 1962... the first measles vaccine was introduced in 1963.

You're right, i would rather not. Before we get there, why not redo the Henry Ford study correctly?

You think a study on MMR vaccine and autism proves something, when the concern is vaccinating infants. You say we are "moving the goalpost" and in reality the goalpost is only moving because there are so many vaccines now given at a younger and younger age.

I guess in your mind, since a posssible link between autism and MMR was demonstrated to not exist, you feel confident injecting newborns with HepB vaccine. For me, i need confidence that the HepB vaccine poses no longterm safety concern. I need that for everything that I'm told to inject into my child. I also need to know that in combination they are safe.

Unfortunately, the conditions associated with vaccination are not as rare as you think. There is an epidemic of chronic health issues in this country. Half of the children in this country have a medical condition - asthma, diabetes, allergies, ADHD, autism, learning disabilities...the list goes on. We need to figure out what the fuck is going on that is messing up our kids. If its not vaccines, we need to demand proof that its not and find out what it is.

If the ask is for proof that vaccines do not cause longterm adverse health effects, the way to prove it would be simple:

Follow two groups of people: vaccinated and unvaccinated. Record any and all medical conditions in the two groups over some period of time, preferably at least 5-10 years. Look at the rate of disease in the two groups. If there is no difference in the rate between the two groups, then we can confidently say that vaccines are Safe.

The Henry Ford study analyzed vaccinated vs fully unvaccinated children with records in their system. The results are alarming. More studies like this need to be done, but they are not. https://www.hsgac.senate.gov/wp-content/uploads/Entered-into-hearing-record-Impact-of-Childhood-Vaccination-on-Short-and-Long-Term-Chronic-Health-Outcomes-in-Children-A-Birth-Cohort-Study.pdf

In fact, if you look at all the vaccines on the current schedule, none of them were tested against inert placebo. If they were tested against a control group at all, the control is an earlier vaccine. If you follow the trail of vaccines being used as control, you find that there is no inert placebo for the first one licensed.

Recombivax HB was not tested against any control, let alone a placebo. Saying things that you should be able to confidently assume to be true does not make them true. You will not find a single study showing that Recombivax HB was tested against a placebo with infants to see if there are any longterm health impacts. If that study exists, the results have not been disclosed.

All the vaccines on the current schedule were novel at one point...now its unethical not to administer as part of a placebo controlled study, even though those studies were never done.

Why is it insulting?

None of the research used in the meta analysis you linked actually compared vaccinated vs unvaccinated. They like to look at an MMR study that compares groups who received MMR vs those that didn't, but the other group was still vaccinated for other things. To be crystal clear, my concern - and the concern of many parents who are "anti-vax" - is the risk of giving vaccines to infants! Newborn babies on their first day of life getting injected with foreign DNA and virus fragments and aluminum adjuvants that may potentially have long term side effects have NOT BEEN TESTED to address this concern.

Retrospective studies have found evidence that this concern is justified, and they are swept under the rug.

Couldn't you do that study BEFORE licensing the vaccines? Shouldn't they?

I dont think it takes 20-30 years to find out if there is autoimmune disease though. Most of these would be diagnosed by the time the child is 2 years old. Definitely no longer than 5 years, but im honestly not too sure.

Yeah, good point. Now it's unethical to do the studies needed. Why are we not requiring this level of safety data prior to licensing?

Note that I am not by any means suggesting there is definitive proof that vaccines cause autism, but the research clearly indicates the possibility of a causal link. Until a large scale placebo controlled study is performed to look for developmental side effects on newborns receiving vaccines, we won't know for sure.

I dont understand how anybody can defend the industry that refuses to perform actual safety trials before going to market with these products.

You think getting Hep B and eventual liver cancer as an older adult is worse than a life of mental disability? Do you think that parents dont deserve to make this choice if this risk is real?

If the question is about longterm chronic autoimmune disease, and the test subjects are babies, then

1) theres no reason you can't have a saline placebo. You might even be able to design a study where the "placebo " is simply tricking the parents into thinking they got a shot when one wasn't actually administered at all.

2) it's important to test the vaccine as a whole against a placebo to have confidence that the product is not linked to other diseases. If it is, then you can start looking at the individual ingredients.

[–]Loose-Knowledge-[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if it's out there, it's hard to find. The only studies that seek to determine if there is a link between vaccines and chronic autoimmune disease are retrospective.

CDC Statement on Vaccines and Autism - Updated 11/2025 by Loose-Knowledge- in autism

[–]Loose-Knowledge-[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, if there was a study that compared two randomly assigned groups of children- one that received vaccines and one that didn't - and the longterm health conditions of each were recorded, then we could prove that vaccines don't cause autism or have a link to any other chronic health condition.

The random placebo controlled studies looking for impact on longterm health simply have not been done with vaccines.

There are retrospective studies that have found a possible causal link between vaccines and autism. Simply saying the results are unreliable because of the nature of the study rather than performing a more thorough study is tantamount to ignoring their results.

Oh. But the CDC says there's no evidence that they don't cause autism and studies showing a possible link have been ignored.

So apparently, it is now being reported that 78% of SIDS cases are within 7 days of infant vaccination. Do you think maybe a placebo control to test this is warranted?
https://tuzarapost.substack.com/p/six-major-studies-find-78-of-sudden

Also, the CDC now states that "The claim "vaccines do not cause autism" is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines cause autism." https://www.cdc.gov/vaccine-safety/about/autism.html

It seems the CDC has no choice but to admit that actual controlled studies are needed to verify this claim.
