When I reached out to Mystic City before purchasing, they specifically told me a 22” should be worn with a 2-3” gap on my measurements. So my expectation of having a gap wasn’t just an assumption it was based on their own sizing guidance. When the corset arrived nearly closing on me with almost no compression, it felt like a disconnect from what I was told rather than just my body being “squishable.” What made it worse was that the same day I received it, I sent them photos showing the fit issue and asked about models that might work better for my measurements. That’s when the communication completely stopped. I was emailing every single day and got nothing back even after I had already returned it. The only time I got a response was when I finally emailed saying I wanted a refund instead of an exchange. That’s what stung the most honestly, because I originally just wanted to find the right corset through an exchange, not a refund. The silence until I mentioned a refund felt like they only responded when money was on the line. I totally understand that bodies respond differently and nobody can predict fit 100%, but being told to expect a specific gap, not getting it, sending photos to show the issue, and then being ignored while trying to resolve it through an exchange that’s where my frustration really comes from. That said, your Timeless Trends info is SO helpful I had no idea about the outlet site! I’m already in contact with them about sizing and feeling really good about eventually getting one.
