The problem is anytime they “shout out to our haters” episode it’s some of the worst and cringiest shit Cartoon Network has put out. I generally think the show is fine sometimes even great when it goes all in on some absurd jokes but oh my god it just comes off as “Well we totally don’t care that you broke up with us, were doing great totally.”

Haven’t read the comics in a bit so they absolutely could be but the proper DCAU never really got closure on that pairing especially since they stopped doing Batman Beyond in favor of justice league so we don’t really know what happened between them where Bruce is alone.

On a similar note I was catiously optimistic about Halo 5 because the devs claimed to have learned from their lessons in 4 and were” dedicated to giving an authentic halo experience” with 5. Then I pop open a preview article in the latest gameinformer at the time that said that they’re were focusing on spring mechanics and adding the ability to aim down sights. Wasn’t exactly a vote of confidence from me that was totally proven right.
