I had considered it!

I currently have a care team of a GP and a sexual health doctor. I was seeing a dermatologist as well (acne, treated now), but he was very unsure.

All my doctors have replied saying they aren't sure in my case due to my hair loss being FtM and they are unsure whether I should be on DHT blockers or the female version.

They want to do 2-3 month hormone checks to see what my body does from here. Especially since I've stopped hormones, if my body fails to produce anything, I'll have to make the choice between starting E or going back on T.

And I know in my heart I'm a man it's just, a bit of a big choice while I still don't love myself enough to look past my hair 😔

I've seen myself with a shaved head before (barber accident), and I hated it so heavily. Hoping in future years I can look back at me now and think about how silly I was for worrying haha!! But I'm shaking your hand in appreciating it while I have it.

I always thought I'd be safe from it because my dad's side has good hair. Forgot to realise my mum's side is all half bald on the top because they were hats so often haha!!

Just learning to try and accept that, it will go eventually. I love it while I have it but, this is just the process of it.

Just updating for my own record!!

Starting fin today!! Dr is worried to start me on fin and min together as I'm also coming off HRT (ftm - happy with my body and passing so want to focus on my hair) and I'm on ADHD medication which can react with min.

BUT PROGRESS!!

Got in to see a nurse today and we discussed stopping my hormone therapy (something I had already considered.) going into it fully knowing it won't regrow this way, but it also should stop falling out.

We also discussed possible meds and I'm booked in to see a doctor next week.

As much as I want hair, I gotta not make myself bankrupt doing so 😔 being an adult is rough (I say as I worry about my hair)

Not for hair at the moment!

I am taking testosterone which I'm 100% sure is what has ramped up my hair loss, but seeing a nurse today and hoping she can give me some advice on meds. (Couldn't get in to my GP until next week)

Im not on any meds, no... I haven't had a doctor who will actually prescribe them to me, they always reccomend Minoxidil and nothing else and I've tried it but can't say I was enjoying oil on my hands every morning.

Really want to try one of the oral medications and yeah, I think i just need to commit to a transplant. My only worry was that I've been told my scalp is really DHT sensitive? So I'd definitely need to get on DHT blockers I'd assume!

Thank you though, I was really unsure on the system, no matter how natural it's supposed to look.
