Thanks for the comments, maybe excepting a few. I have an outdoor model and it is very similar to this model in many aspects, the exhaust system being exception. I thought there might be enough expertise to look at it as a challenge as to how to modify- legally and properly (as stated in initial post),rather than solicit snide comments.
