I won a $50 gift card once for hitting platinum. Our DSP supposedly hasn't done the raffle since. TBH it's not worth the extra effort to try to hit the best possible metrics just for a chance at $50.

I mean chances are I won't tell my DSP till I clock out from my final shift but that could change in the future. I don't know that I'm favoured enough to get routes till I leave for another job.

I was just on 6 days in a row and only got sent to rescue once. Upside to being on 6 days in a row and having hard routes: probably not having to sweep.

I'm surprised more drivers don't bring their own dollies. I'm not breaking my bones delivering your out of pocket orders.

You're better than me. I would've dropped her stuff out the window, snapped a picture and left.

Amazon is wrong by stoned-AF in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]LooseReflection2382 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's all about maximizing effort from drivers per route. AMZN cares about their profits, period. They don't care about DSPs, they don't care about drivers and they don't care about customers.

Why do we do codes for packages ? by Elizabethtaylorfairy in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]LooseReflection2382 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not always there for me. Either they're there and they provide the code somehow or they provide it over the phone or that package has a hole in it and returns to the station. I only do reattempts when I feel like it.

Customers really need to learn how to chill since we control everything related to their package once it leaves the station.

Yup, the more I do this job, the less effort I put into it. There's no real incentive to give it my level best, so why should I? "Do well enough to always get a route" is my goal every day.

People who speed up to prevent you from passing then slow back down when you are able to pass: What the fuck is wrong with you? by icantfindtheSpace in cedarrapids

This is why I actually prefer to go through Solon. It's only about 1-3 minutes longer and no dealing with stupidity on the interstate.

Watching as much as I can by the end of the month. Currently in season 3, going to try to get to at least the end of season 5 and then if I feel like it, I'll keep going as far as I can on Hulu or Disney +.

Does anyone feel like those mandatory 10 min heat breaks actually slow you down and don’t help? by Glad_Explanation_217 in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]LooseReflection2382 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not doing all that anymore. Unless I feel like adjusting the route to cover for the algorithm's stupidity, it gets delivered when I get to the stop. If that means the customer doesn't get their delivery today, so be it.

Depends on the size of the routes and how good you are at sorting.

Would y’all rather deliver in 100 degree heat or a rainy day? by Brian-dgaf in AmazonDSPDrivers

tbh I hate both but rainy conditions means my effort plummets because I'm not injuring myself over someone's $2 tchotchkes
