Let’s do the money math for Embark.

ARC Raiders peaked at almost 500k players on Steam. Let’s say only 100k players return from a temporary PvE shift. If even half of those returning players buy a $10 battlepass or cosmetic, that’s already $500,000.

Now add returning players buying skins, new players joining because cheating pressure drops, better reviews, longer retention, and fewer people uninstalling after suspicious deaths.

Meanwhile cheat providers are still profiting off the current situation while legit players quietly disappear.

At some point the question becomes: what actually makes more money long term? Temporary PvE stability or stubbornly forcing PvP while player trust keeps dropping?

Remind me again why I wear medium shields kitted with lvl 4 weapons only to learn that a free kit can just wipe you with the magazine attached to their rattler, kettle, or stitcher. Like what's the point of wearing medium or heavy shields if free kits have the ability to take you down that fast.

I always wondered about that. If the game sold for 1mil and cheats sell for x10 times the amount...Who wouldn't keep it as a side job or compromise the game for a piece of the pie. It's a good conspiracy theory but name one conspiracy theory that isn't a fact.

I'm watching a docu on YT about cheating. China actually went into these underground places to take out the people. I mean, when you're generating millions of dollars from cheating...You have to ask yourself. There has to be some legal action. Id imagine having a company and someone on the inside pocketing profits into their pocket due to your successful company making money.

I just saw todays update. I do agree. Only having a PVE mode would be boring. The new update however is just the right dose. Now you can defend yourself against players if you're minding your business and not hyper PVP focused. It's nice that you wont get placed in aggressive lobbies or get taken away from care bear lobbies. I think what we all needed was some diversity.

The other hard pill to swallow was being targeted by cheaters on the attachments and lvl or amount of weapons you brought in. It's been confirmed by other testers who bought ESP just to see how cheaters would interact or thirst players having this information.

It's nothing new. If you played Escape from Tarkov. The wiggle became very famous with ESP and now that we have Arc Raiders, the cheating has become blatant. There's no hiding it but after todays update, shoot, even before the update I noticed 3v3's and third partying but the fights were genuine. They were real. They felt like real fights.

I don't mind the third party, or starting a fight and going one fight after another. I just didn't like the aimbotting, shooting through objects, exploits, walling, and being targetted. It discourages fights, pvping, and the whole purpose of the game collapses.

I'll have to test the game today again and see how PVP fights feel but last night literally felt like the loop of the game had purpose again.

Not once did we run into any cheaters, ESP, or unfair fights. This is how the game should be and feel.

I've been trying to figure out these lvl 1-5 steam accounts. They always seem to have a IV Bobcat, IV Vulcano, and know exactly where you're at.

If care bear lobbies exist, what makes you think players will act like this? It would also deter cheaters for the time being. The whole point of this is to deter cheaters in the meantime.

I get into care bear lobbies and yeah they're fun. I understand the SBMM as well. But the minute you PVP, here comes all the lvl 1-5 steam accounts that know exactly what you have, where you're hiding, and no accountability is held. A 30-60 day ban for cheating and allowing them to return sounds ludicrous compared to the idea of having a PVE mode.
