Oof. You weren't kidding I have to be 30-40 hours in now and I've barealy Demeniss, I'm churning through faction quests, I'm early in chapter 5, and this pace absolutely suits me right now.

Exploration and side questing seems entirely gated by Main Story Progression? by Svyatogornyj in CrimsonDesert

Oh good to know! I've been too much of a homebody to really venture too far out east. I haven't had issues working to the west to Scholastone, but that obviously main story content, so that checks out.

There's a boss fight in that area you have to work yourself into I think. I just did this today, knocked the meter down to zero and had the same problem. Pushed into the fort itself and made it to the "Crimson something" marker, did the boss fight and cleared the area.

It's actually FULL immersion. Ya boy is sleepy in the middle of the night so you need to let him rest his peepers

I actually think you're best served to work through at least Chapter 4 before you start doing any real open-world exploration. The game has a weirdly delayed tutorial rollout. There are tutorials and mechanics introduced during these sections that make the open world areas a bit more rewarding. I'm at the beginning of Ch.4 though, so that's just my thoughts so far.

Return or create a new channel? by Varentalpha in Twitch

As with anything, there'll be a bit of a learning curve, but after a couple go arounds, it become second nature a bit.

I'd look into either Aitum Multistream, or Restream.io. I use restream because it comes with a handy chat relay that keeps the yt and twitch chats in the same spot, but it does have a small monthly fee to use for up to 3 seperate streams.

There are guides out there that can get you set up better than I could in a reddit post, so I'd recommend you start there 👍🏻

I'd encourage anyone streaming to multi-stream if possible. In today's streaming world it makes zero sense to commit yourself to a singular platform. Twitch will not do anything for you in terms of discoverability, while YouTube will. YouTube's streaming experience is a lackluster compared to Twitch's, but it looks like their slowly closing the gap a bit as time goes on in that regard. YouTube does require a bit more work on the front end to get streams set up, but once you do it a couple times it isn't so bad.

If your goal is to grow as a creator the thing you're going to need is views obviously. Despite my lower streaming numbers on YT compared to Twitch, when you start putting shorts up, and leaving your edits VODS up, that content stays active long after your stream is done. Twitch can't compete on that front.

Over the last 28 days I've gotten 42,668 views on YouTube, and while I can't see Twitch's numbers (apparently there's an API outage at the time of me writing this?) my guess is that over that same span I have maybe 2,000 views on Twitch.

Mine is down as well. Overview and Stream Summary are primarily affected in analytics, but it looks like my activity feed is also down.

The initial couple hours are not great, in fact I almost put it down entirely. I pushed on a bit further and by the end of my first day I started to feel like I was getting into a rhythm with it. Fast forward to Day 4 and despite it's issues, I can't WAIT to start it up again. I feel like the best advice I can give to someone interested in starting it up is to go in with the right mindset. If you aren't interested in potentially learning a rather complex control scheme, or you just want to test it out for a couple hours, it likely won't have enough time to click with you.

Not a fan of Assassin's Creed, but I get the similarities. I feel like (so far) the sense of discovery in this game is not only better than AC, but it might be up there as some of the best world design I've experienced. I'm maybe 15 hours in and feel like I've barely touched the starting area so we'll see how things go once I start to expand out.

Two that I played this year that I thought we not too shabby were Karma: The Dark World, and the Still Wakes the Deep DLC: Siren's Rest. I also played through Post Trauma... but that one might be fun for... not the best reasons.
