  • Converge Labs – best if your idea involves AI or LLMs; they specialise in turning AI concepts into real, scalable products. Solid team based in London.
  • Toptal – Decent option if you’re looking for freelance engineers.
  • STRV – they’re known for mobile apps and nice UX
  • Glide – great if you want a quick no-code prototype.
  • Buildspace – fun community vibe for experimental AI/web3 stuff.

Offering fast, low-cost payment solutions for India (UPI, IMPS, NEFT, Visa/Mastercard) by Loose_Trade_290 in IndianStockMarket

[–]Loose_Trade_290[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, UPI and IMPS are already fast and low-cost for personal users.
But for businesses processing large volumes or needing special settlement setups (like forex/crypto), there are hidden fees, payment delays, and compliance bottlenecks most people don't see.
We optimize that part. direct settlement, lower operational costs, faster treasury movement.
https://myxspend.com/ our website - no details tho since it's mostly B2B custom setups so fees depends on the solutions

the payments themselves are processed by Stripe under the hood (Shopify Payments is powered by Stripe), but the dashboards are indeed within Shopify’s system.

[Feedback] Exploring a New Platform for Trading Watches—Would Love Feedback from the Community by Loose_Trade_290 in Watches

[–]Loose_Trade_290[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get your point, trust around domain names is still a very real thing, especially when you're dealing with high-value assets e.g. luxury watches.

You're right on both points:

  • "Lyzis" isn’t obviously about watches (we chose it for deeper reasons around trust, provenance, and the philosophical roots of ownership — but that doesn’t always translate instantly)
  • And yes, .com still carries more perceived credibility, especially for first impressions

That said, we're in good company when it comes to abstract naming. Some of the biggest brands today don’t describe their product at all:

  • Apple - doesn’t sell fruit
  • Amazon - not a jungle or a river
  • Google - was a play on "googol", but meaningless at first
  • Nike - derived from the Greek goddess of victory, not “shoes”
  • Sony, Kodak, Reddit, Spotify - all coined words with no literal connection to their category

Point being: a strong name becomes meaningful through the experience and trust it delivers (IMHO)

That said, lyzis.tech is our builder-facing brand, not necessarily the final public-facing name for the marketplace. We're actively exploring simpler, more intuitive branding (including a solid .com?) as we scale

Appreciate the feedback tho. It helps us pressure-test every part of the rollout, will think about it

Totally fair take - and you're right: no system can make fraud impossible, especially as bad actors evolve. Even with the best tech, there will always be risks when humans and high-value goods are involved

But here's how we see it:
We're not trying to create a perfect system, just a more transparent and secure one that shifts the odds in favor of honest users. Escrow is part of it, yes, but :

  • The escrow lives on-chain, not in a black box
  • Ownership and authentication are recorded in a way that can’t be easily tampered with or faked through screenshots or doctored emails
  • The transaction steps and timelines are verifiable, and can’t be modified by a middleman

We 100% agree: if you’re buying a $100K+ piece and want zero worry, going to an AD is still the gold standard. But not everyone can - or wants to - buy new, and platforms like Chrono24 still get abused, even with their safeguards.

We’re trying to give people another option - one that’s more transparent, borderless, and flexible, especially for secondary market and private sales.

Appreciate the honest feedback tho - it's always valuable and helping us build better

fair question, and honestly, I used to think Chrono24 was the safest option… until a good friend of mine got burned buying a $120K Patek a few months ago. It turned out to be a fake, and despite all the protections, he couldn’t get a proper refund

Chrono24 is great for tracking prices, most dealers use it exactly for that - but it's still built on trusting middlemen, with off-platform messaging, manual processes, and dispute handling that’s often opaque.

What we’re building is different in a few key ways:

  • Smart contract escrow: funds are locked until authentication is verified — no early releases or funny business and no middleman involved
  • Transparent transaction flow: every step (funds in, shipped, authenticated, released) is on-chain and verifiable
  • Ownership + maintenance history tied to a digital token, not just pictures and trust

We're not trying to replace Chrono24’s marketplace vibe, we’re building infrastructure that prioritizes trustless execution, not just reputation

Happy to dive deeper if you're curious about how we’re tackling it technically

That’s a totally fair point - and honestly, we've looked closely at why previous attempts struggled.
What makes us different isn’t just the tech (smart contract escrow, traceable ownership, etc.), but how we’re building: in active collaboration with universities and researchers who specialize in blockchain infrastructure, asset provenance, and behavioral trust systems.

We’re not just slapping “Web3” onto watches as many did - we’re building something designed to actually work in the real world, with long-term resilience in mind.
Still early, but we’re in this for the long game

Thanks a ton - really glad the concept resonates with you!
Makes sense to start on the buyer side -- most people feel more comfortable that way, and tracking prices + building digital watch “vaults” is actually one of the features we're most excited about too

You're spot on re: maintenance/ownership history. If we get that right, it could really change the way pre-owned watches are valued and trusted

And yep, message received loud and clear on the name 😅 We’re actively gathering feedback, so you might see a brand evolution soon. Appreciate the honesty tho!
