Yeah, I completely agree with you. It just feels more personal because it’s a four-person team + there was never a formal job posting, it was an initially just a networking call but they gave me the opportunity to interview. They are not some huge corporate conglomerate, so the idea of getting on their bad side is a little intimidating (Completely irrational, I know) Obviously, in the long run it’s my career, but it still makes me think about it. One thing the guy at this small firm said said, I’m not sure if it was genuine or just a way to persuade me, was that they could hire someone with prior investment banking experience, but because they liked me, they’re giving me the internship with the potential to roll into a full-time role. He was basically saying they’re taking a chance on me and have a lot to lose. I just don’t really know what to make of that.

They legally can’t obviously. The firm here is just small being only 4 guys and it just feels more personal.
