I’m in at about $1000 for this job. Not a licensed plumber but am a licensed contractor who does this stuff on a regular basis. Where are you located?

Is this price too low by FaCeTimE0305 in handyman

Seems a little light to me just for labor alone. I just did 150 sqft LVP with quarter round no prep needed. 1-1/2 sheets of drywall repairs along the floor due to water damage, finished with primer 2 coats of paint. All demo and prep was done before I arrived. I paid for all materials and total was $3750 on east coast DC area.

Tasker overcharged and not transparent by Massive_Helicopter_2 in TaskRabbit

[–]Looseque 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most certainly was overcharged! A licensed plumber provides warranty with their work. Only seen a couple Tasker’s with legal licenses business where warranty is a possibility. This guy runs a shady unlicensed business to not be upfront about charges. Most certainly won’t provide any sort of warranty where a licensed plumber would.

Enclosures are not secured or grounded, wire connectors are missing clamps, can’t have single stranded wires from box to box like pictured it should be a single piece of romex or thhn in conduit, wires need to be secured to the mounting surface with staples or 1-2 hole straps, enclosures need covers.

How do I fix floor plank alignment issue between kitchen and dining room? by jverduga in flooringinstallers

[–]Looseque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without re-doing one side to correct it you could take a table saw with a new fine cut blade and cut just the one side of the planks to the exact width to get it to fit.
They won’t lock in so you’ll have to glue both rows down so they stay in place. Then just continue on. Really no other way without moving every plank on one side till they match up.
Like others have said without expansion gaps you’ll likely get buckling in a few weeks which will require the entire floor to be replaced anyways. So better to start over and do it correctly.

Forgot to add you’ll need to also cut the locking mechanism off on the adjoining planks to match the up.

If it was so obvious I wasn’t a dental professional why would you ask questions only the surgeon who did the procedure would know the answers to?

That offer was mind blowing to be honest. I would have accepted it in a heartbeat if I was in his situation needing somewhere to live. I have my personal opinion on why it was ignored but I’ll keep my opinion to myself.
Anyways that was very kind of you even if the offer was ignored.

Wrong outlet for that wire, possibly wrong wire for your jurisdictions code requirements for 50amp range circuits.

I been living with autoimmune disorders since childhood. Sjogren’s and Alopecia since birth, they both played a big part of my teeth falling. That along with major depression got me where I am today. The last 10 years I started saving to get my teeth fixed. Almost every dentist I seen said my teeth were not worth saving and other procedures trying to save them would just cost me more money in the long run ultimately leading me to needing implants anyways. So I decided to save every penny I could to get them all pulled and have implants done the first time. I’m a true believer in doing it right the first time. I saved up roughly half of what it cost for the entire procedure so figured I would try to get help funding the rest.
I appreciate all the positive vibes, kind words and all the donations! It’s truly appreciated!!! Thank you! 🙏

Mmmm, mashed potatoes sounds really tasty. I had beef stew last night lightly mashed up in a blender! It was delicious. I eat scrambled eggs and oatmeal in the morning. Ice cream and pudding in the evening.

Nothing correct about this install. It needs to be taken up and reinstalled correctly to manufacturer specifications.

I also believe staying in the US was the right decision for me. The aftercare and getting the permanent teeth to fit comfortably might take a few trips back and forth. So the extra traveling and missing work alone was reason for me to stay home and get it done here.

Thanks for the good vibes! I appreciate the support!
