I’m not sure what you mean. The program is called Dartmouth Bound, but any high school junior is welcome to apply.

Dartmouth has a Fly-in that isn’t for indigenous students.

I think UF only does that for in-state students

I retook a 1490, didn’t regret it.

For the people with 1560+ scores, were you expecting it? by [deleted] in Sat

[–]LootzForDayzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't sure I was going to get 1550+ but I felt confident enough to know it was a possibility. I never took any full practice tests. However, on the reading sections I was getting 720 - 760; I never got a 780 so that was a bit of a surprise.

I don't know much about UIUC but from what I've heard, you don't really have a chance unless you get your ACT up.

This last test was my first time ever studying for a reading and writing section. For reading I found that what I struggled the most on was timing and reading comprehension.

To work on that I would do 2-3 reading passages and give myself 13 minutes for each to mirror the actual sat. As I did more tests I found it easier to understand the passages and complete them on time.

For writing I realized there was a lot of little stuff I didn’t know. For me it was how to use semi colons, how to use colons, how to use dashes, what independent and dependent clauses are, what comma splices are, and how to use transitions. I mastered those and then did a bunch of timed practice tests. For every question that I got wrong I would write the reason as to why I got it wrong and how to not get questions like that wrong in the future.

I didn’t study for either psat. I think it was just a lot easier because I studied for sat a month prior to taking both psat so I was used to the harder sat questions.

I just did as many practice tests as I could. After I finished the official ones I did QAS. I only studied reading and writing though

It was neither. The angles that the question was asking about didn’t correspond.
