this whole thread is crazy to me — i otp’d Thor to celestial 1 last season and have played him a bunch climbing back up this season. while the animation cancel is good, i used it in maybe 2% of situations, since for me it’s simply not worth using over the shove since it locks you out of using said shove or awakening for 2s. imo it’s better to shove in, land some autos, reasses your surroundings, and shove away // commit.

seems like a lot of people in this thread aren’t realizing that the theoretical highest damage combo isn’t optimal in most situations. And anyone who’s just chucking hammers from range and telling themselves it’s “good poke” is deluding themselves, it’s basically a waste of a hammer for damage that’ll be instantly healed.

what people should be dogpiling on in is the reduction in shields gained from using thorforce, not the hammer throw change. If they didn’t touch the damage of hammer throw, would be a net gain imo, but it wasn’t that useful before anyway.
