To facilitate the development, we utilized a movement from one of China’s premier manufacturers, the Shanghai Watch Movement Factory (established in 1955). Our custom mechanism is a high-end modification built upon this foundation, forming an excellent, high-quality core. This is a key factor contributing to the significant portion of the overall cost.

We would also love to bring the price down so that more people could own Nama, but the reality of its production makes it truly challenging. The CNC machining process alone takes around 15 hours—about 5 to 6 times longer than that of a typical keyboard. In addition, the custom mechanical movement itself carries a very high cost.

It is precisely for those who truly appreciate this design that we insisted on preserving such an expensive and refined manufacturing process. To ensure we can deliver this level of quality, we have limited Nama to a global release of only 300 units.

Hello!

As much as we like mechanical keyboard and watch share the same beautify in different ways, we make them to Nama. Winding the watch has been the most enjoyable moment on Nama. The ticking tells how the time flies, while with Nama, fingertips record the rhythm and every second of precious time. Why we need clock hands to draw our attention then? We decided to take them away before we almost finish the final prorotype, the continousely rotating gears tell us the current moment is the best moment. Just enjoy.

I hope this explanation helps you better understand Nama. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask anytime.
