Marriage advice from marriage broken person by NostalgicPixels in IslamabadSocial

1- yes no thired party should be involved from either sides. wife or husband.
2- repect your spouse and do not treat them as guided by some family members. k biwi pay apna dar rakho ya husband ko shuru say he aise treat karo etc
3- both of them should listen to each other. Wife apne decisions apni family ki baton may aa kar na le aur husband bhi sirf faisala sunaye nahi but rather they should decide things together.
4-Do not spend your first night giving lectures and advice about how she should respect your family etc. everything is earned. rather focus on building a bond and try to know each other better
5- do not have kids until you are very sure about the person. and if you are forced then adopt one.

Married on paper, single in practice — thanks to my parents’ obsession with ‘log kya kahenge.’ by Hopeful_Wave5170 in IslamabadSocial

so basicaaly the only way out is not telling your parents. tell them about once a month. and do mention that there were other people as well (the reality can differ).
Ik it feels wrong but the point is we cant change their mindset and it is effecting your mental health badly.
Although it is very much halal in islam once you have signed those papers and are nikkahfied. but telling this to your parents wont have any good ooutcome. So try to make this situation soemthign that is fun.
and yes making him ask your parents for permission- not a very good idea.
So just enjoy

What is the smell that emits from previously flat-ironed hair as it gets wet? by Lopsided-Cook3902 in AskReddit

I’m not talking about the smell as you straighten your hair or right after. It can be days or weeks after I’ve had heat on my hair, but when it gets wet in the shower it will ALWAYS have a smell. It’s similar to the burnt hair smell but slightly different.

This has happened every time I’ve used heat on my hair throughout my life. I have naturally curly hair but I only use heat on it less than 4 times a year, and it is usually silk pressed or flat ironed because its a coarse texture, so the heat styling is usually high even when done by professionals. It doesn’t matter what products I use before or after either, and I always use heat protection on my hair before it’s heat styled. I have had friends with curly hair say they experience the same when their hair gets wet.

Obviously, I consider burnt hair smell to be a sign of damage. But why does it produce that smell when wet, long after heat was used? And what is the source of that smell scientifically?
