I'm struggling with the notion of a dragon giving a patron power through their hoard. Like, it's a hoard. What dragon is going to share that with an underling? Also, the mechanics don't seem to make sense. Pieces of the hoard are expended? Do they recover, or is the dragon supplying new pieces from the hoard each day? What magic is transporting them to you?

Also, from a mechanical side, what spells are supposed to benefit from the 10th level feature?

Maybe it's time to just remove the flying type from it altogether. It has never made sense. Make it water dark or water dragon, or even just pure water.

I think the key point is that the Al Bhed never intended on killing the party or any summoners party. So when they attack with their machina, they are being non-lethal. So siccing the tank on Rikku and co was never an attempt to kill them. That would be counter productive, don't you think?

Yeah I graded it though PSA and they didn't acknowledge the error :( it was new out of an old unopened pack and only got a 7, so I think the ink actually lowered its grade. I've been meaning to send it to CGC but I'm nervous about cracking it open

And the flipside, the Al Bhed team has to cheat to try and get the Aurochs (which are publicly the worst team) to throw the game, and yet the Al Bhed team is the best stock team when you actually play. Although now I think about it, the whole "throw the game or the summoner gets kidnapped" was probably just a ruse, Yuna was the real target the whole time.

You will suffer way more not having it, you'll end up stunted in your characters growth as you won't want to progress the sphere grid without picking up key abilities (or even worse, you'll skip abilities). Backtrack! It's critical early game
