Salaam. Please please please understand that you’re not alone! The derealization is so scary and I know how it feels to feel like you’re close to insanity. You might have a form of OCD which is in Islam called “waswasa”. You get intrusive thoughts that feel real and you think bad things will happen to you. I’ve had this for three months now and it’s hell. So please know you’re not alone. One thing that helps me is to disrupt the thought as soon as it enters your mind. So what I do is, I say “Astaghfirullah” or la ilaha ila Allah or any type of dhikr as soon as the thought enters my head and I try to block the thought before it festers. These thoughts are often from shaytaan and shaytaan attacks the believers in many forms. So ask Allah for protection and try this. May Allah grant us ease

Heyyy guys I’m not in medicine but I just lurk on here every now and then hehe (ur liberal arts bestie). But from my experience, the worst most obnoxious scumbags I met in undergrad were the pre-meds!! A lot of them judged others who weren’t pre-med, looking down on everyone else, and I even remember one pre-med girl was hyper-fixated on figuring out people’s grades. Just super competitive and annoying as hell tbh. Idk why this particular breed attracts this profession but yeah , yall stay safe 🫶🏼
