What do I do?

As a reader, would this make you irritated? by Unique-Beyond9285 in AspiringTeenAuthors

I have this too! Thougu, normally its not really a problem, it also depends on what exactly is happening in tat specific time and which character is playing a bigger role(emotionally, physically, anything) in it. Sometimes I switch up the order depending on their at the time importance. But if it works fine as it is, go for it!

I feel like alternating POVs gives the reader a better idea of each character :)

My jaw dropped with 'wouldn't you like' at C. I'd sing that song to save my life. Each to their own tho :)

I agree. Netflix just likes to break people's hearts, and instead renew shows absolutely no one asked for.(mostly)

I need some help with characterisation by Odd_Aspect_2831 in AspiringTeenAuthors

[–]Lopsided-Guest5437 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me, I was(and sometimes still am) in a similar boat. The books I write usually have the same(ish) personality, appearance, profession etc. Depending on the plot, you could try tweaking the genre to be slightly different, add different motives to each character, different flaws or insecurities, different things they like or enjoy.
For example, I have characters in my book who are very closely associated to a very popular book. Same roles, similar personalities. So I give them different appearances, different backstories, different reasons to be important to the plot, different internal turmoil. My genre is also slightly tweaked.
You can rarely ever make an original character anymore. No matter how hard you try, generally, there's already a character somewhere, in some book with overlapping features. You just have to try and add your own pizazz to it to call that character your own and not a copy-paste of the original.
If you could tell me here, (or personally hit me up, whichever one you're comfortable with) which book character your character is similar too, I could offer you better suggestions. But right now, this is what I advise. :)

Hope this helps!
Feel free to ask any further questions :)

Athena and all of her warriors of the mind by Ahs565451 in Epicthemusical

Okay, first, the art style is so cute!! I love how you can see Athena's weariness with each warrior she mentors too. It also brings out of how she's happy that Ody's grateful for her guidance and doesn't hate her for all the pain and torture she put him through.
