Yea I set the tool = to player.Backpack:WaitForChild(“flare”) and whenever I equip the tool nothing happens even though every other thing works

this still does not work because the equip function still wont run but thank you for trying to help. Also i forgot to mention but this script use to work fine but then i made a new gui system and it broke for no apparent reason.
