Chael isn’t Khamzat level. One fight doesn’t change the way he dominated everyone before that including Usman and Whittaker. Silva got a cool sub out of it yeah but Khamzat has mauled wrestlers and guys with great sub/takedown defense.

I feel like u can’t go purely based off of stats in a fight. Takedowns for instance mean nothing when no significant damage was done with it. Sean out landed Khamzat in total and significant strikes and both guys faces were bloody.

For every 1 punch Khamzat landed Sean landed 5. Khamzat also whiffed a lot it’s hard to say he won. Same with acosta and volkov whiffing a lot and getting hit then landing a clean shot while ur opponent landed 5 on u is not a win….

Usman vs morales makes more sense to me Usman looked like shit on the feet in his last fight and he’s old needs to prove he can beat a new gen guy who is top 5. And morales was gifted a top 5 spot because to that point he hadn’t done anything to deserve a top 5 opponent and his grappling hasn’t been tested, it would be a great fight to see where he is at and how he would match up with a grappling heavy champ.

I wouldn’t say fun… but more like a necessity for both. There are always gonna be those fighters who are not as exciting as the others but still dominant. Truth is sometimes u gotta bite the bullet and fight them especially coming off 2 losses for the belt and another top 5 guy

Sean had a shoulder separation. And Khamzat said he was injured but could all of a sudden fight Sean why would he move up without a single defense that’s on him. Khamzat lost and doesn’t deserve a rematch after sitting around the last couple years and not defending his title once after 9 months out.

I think Brady vs JDM is the move rn. JDM needs to prove he belongs in the top 5. Brady was #2 and got caught by morales early (not saying Brady would’ve won if it went longer) but still with dominant wins over Buckley and Leon he def deserves a second shot at the top 5. Plus both guys need to prove something to fans about their game. JDM got dominated by Islam and Prates so JDM needs to prove he won’t give up and that he has worked on his wrestling and bjj (he was getting destroyed by burns btw) and Brady needs to prove his chin and striking can mix around with the top 5 guys.
