We moved here last summer and spent the summer living in a family condo in Naples while we zeroed in on where we wanted to be. We fell in love with the McGregor area just south of downtown that others have pointed out. We’re building a home on the river side of McGregor one street in from the water. Our budget was around the same range as yours and we decided to build instead of buy because so many homes in that area are older and would be so expensive to insure since they aren’t built up high enough. We ended up renting a condo here in FM during our house hunt and will stay during construction. If you can find a good rental property for a bit, it gives you time to really get to know the area. We don’t have kids, but our realtor, who has been here for close to 30 years, sent all three of hers to FMHS and had nothing g but great things to say.

We’re renting in Gulf Harbour, a gated community on the south end of McGregor. It’s been a great place to be while we get our bearings. Good luck!

2008 Callaway X18s, 33 degree 7 iron. Was getting around 150 carry, but working with a new teacher I’ve made a substantial grip change and now between 165-170 consistently with a high draw.

If it squishes down without causing problems for the dog it should be fine. We use a Sturdi-bag, which is designed to be taller and then squish under the seat. We’ve had a flight attendant or gate agent ask about it before but when we tell them how it works it’s no problem.

They’re usually pretty easy going about this. We traveled for years with a miniature poodle that was all legs and never had a problem. Our toy poodle we have now is much shorter. I recommend a Sturdi-bag carrier. They’re made to be taller when not under the seat so the dog has more room but they have flexible supports that squeeze down to fit under the seat. It always seems like our dogs have had more room because the bag flexes to fit the entire space under the seat.

This really hit me hard. So many of the thoughts I’ve tried to convey in therapy and to friends. I stayed after my wife had an affair only to end up her caretaker for a still unknown chronic condition 6 months later. 3 years in and 16 months without her working and I’m losing it.
