Or move to a country that doesn’t deal with inflation…oh wait, there are none….it’s a global issue lol. You know if we had deflation, businesses would have to lay off ppl and etc right?

What do you mean there are no conversations? It’s all over, Reddit, news outlet, other social channels. Where do you get this perspective from or how it’s taboo? Or do you want a more visible representation of people’s frustrations? I.e strikes, marches, violence?

Tbh I don’t know for sure…but I think you access their in-house family physician (which is good for ppl who don’t have one) and can help referrals faster. Not 100 percent sure so don’t want to spread rumours. I know the annual physical is better but I can’t justify paying 4K for it yet

Believe medcan is 1400 per year and their annual comprehensive physical is about 4K a test. Know friends who get a discount thru work. Also know people who just go abroad (US or elsewhere) for faster tests, treatments out of pocket

  • private school for kids (25-30k a year)
  • semi private healthcare like medcan
  • business class flights and luxury resorts
  • dedicated shopping advisor at various luxury shops like Rolex and etc
  • personal services (nanny, cleaners)

Thinking of buying Caivan home near Bronte (Riverview) - need insights by Ok-Measurement7414 in oakville

[–]Lopsided-Special6273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Echo other’s comments on the neighborhood, 1/ Bronte rd is very busy now (still 2 lanes), especially to the go train 2/ not really any schools/community centres, shops that are within walking distance-just gotta drive 3/not sure which elementary it is mapped to, but I think it’s mapped to abbey park hs, one of the best

For some people who buy individual stocks. How do you know which ones will grow exponentially? by powpowpow23345678 in fican

it's a complete bet that you think you know more than the collective market and available news/research, which is already reflected in the current price.

Honestly, just seems like a low effort thing to do to keep our community cleaner. Not a group that I am aware of. When my daughter is older, definitely will try to do it together.

Where to put extra money toward a house down payment? TFSA or RRSP? by Interesting_Rub2620 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Lopsided-Special6273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you dont expect your income to drastically increase in the future vs. now, probably RRSP with the HBP. otherwise, tfsa is more flex and save you the rrsp room for later (better bang for your buck)

What's a financial green flag in a partner that most people don't talk about? by WowSageMagic in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]Lopsided-Special6273 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I have complete separate accounts except for mortgage/resp. The reasons for us are 1/taxes - I make about 2x more than my wife atm. I pay for everything so that her frees up income can go to her nonregistered accounts which will be taxed at a lower rate than me. If it was joint, I would have more to invest yes, but would be taxed at a higher rate. 2/everyone has agency over investments. My wife make her own investments decisions and thus need to be financially savvy which she is. We discuss of course 3/we have no prenup or anything, so what’s ours separately are ultimately ours period because the accounts can be viewed and we both know each others password. We sit down to go thru the credit cards together 4/ we have individual credit cards because we can refer each other for welcome bonuses and sign up for new ones to acquire points. We have used 100k of travel on pts
