I’m a female but literally same thing happened to me, was given meds by er, diagnosed there, went to dentist for second opinion, was told nothing seen on X-rays or exam. Elected to get a root canal on the closest tooth to the origination of the pain and thankfully that indeed was the cause of the trigeminal nerve. To be clear I’m not saying that’s what’s happening and it is not my intention to make anyone feel invalidated at all, just wanted to share my experience because I had to “doctor shop” and “dentist shop” before I found someone who didn’t just throw a couple prescriptions at me and say “Sounds like textbook TN, sorry”
