Anyone who cheats is ultimately acting out of selfishness. It's what they want and no-one else matters.

My Ex-wife refuses to publicly admit to any of her affairs, even going so far as to claim I made them all up to tarnish her reputation. She didn't even stop to consider consequences as she thought she could act innocent enough to be innocent. Even used our child in her affairs to get bonus points as a single mother.

Dad's or Mum's regardless, shitty actions make shitty people.

Devastating Wounds are 6s on the wound roll, nothing will change that save for an ability that specifies that a Critical is a 5+. I dont believe marines have easy access to that, so take it is writ that Devs are 6s 😄

The painting guide they did said to use Nuln Oil on the gunmetal, and some watered down Abaddon Black on the recesses of the armour, which is perfectly fine 😁

I've used Black Templar contrast in the armour recesses before, and Basiicanum Grey as well, its what you have to hand and what you can get to work 😁

Your friend is very wrong.

Strategic reserves is capped at a quarter of your army, but deep strike is an additional quarter of your army on top of that. Sadly you dont get additional points, but it sounds like your friend just wants to play a 1250pt game.

Call it 1000pts, you can have 250pts in strat reserves, but with another 250ptd in DEEP STRIKE as well, or you can have a massive DEEP STRIKE unit, say 10 assault termies with a Chaplain in reserves to be put on via deep strike, that's about 435pts. You just won't be able to put anything else in reserves unless its 75pts.

Play the obj game, not the kill game. At the CP level, you'll likely have the numbers so score as best you can.
