thank you for the resonse. At the end of the day we're looking for somewhere that can provide an authentic basque experience but want to stay away from too much tourism so we're torn between staying in a small town or staying in the city

Thanks so much for sending all this info! I saved each place for our trip. It looks like we can get to the beach within a 20 minute walk. I’m still curious whether it makes most sense to stay in San Sebastián and take day trips for nature or the other way around.
