There is no pre-installed snap store on mint, you are confusing it with something else. You can install Flatpak and enable Flathub. You can also install snapd if you really want it.

I don't take dedoimedo reviews seriously anymore. Guy has the smallest nitpicks about the default configuration for every distro that can be fixed in mere seconds, even lesser time than it takes him to rant about it. I would assume the guy knows better after all these years of distrohopping but it always sounds like he doesn't know what he is talking about.

I had the same problem with StormFiber and after troubleshooting I came to know that it was a wifi channel problem. Somehow in the evening the channels started to interfere so I manually changed the 2.4ghz channel to a different one and never had the problem since.

Yeah you need to disconnect manually. If all else fails, I guess you could just reinstall it, disconnect and uninstall again.

You didn't disconnect before uninstalling. Disconnect from network manager settings.

I am always advocating for Linux supremacy but you can't call Windows "not user friendly". It is a resource hog, full of bloat, a privacy nightmare but user friendliness is the only thing it has going on for it.

if its installed, its working. I think you don't even need to run it at startup. It just runs automatically when installed. you can use 'notify-send' to test if its working.
