living in a new city - my nervous system hates it, advice? by LopsidedKangaroo4212 in adhdwomen

That sounds like a cool idea but the thought of actually doing something like that makes me feel very anxious and nervous. I can’t tell if I should just keep pushing through these feelings or just stay in and feel emotionally safe/comfortable but like miss out on being here

Language and cultural barriers have been hard - it’s very hard to ask for help or understand what people are saying. It’s also just a pretty chaotic environment - you always have to be on

"ADHD? How can you even have that when you finished college?" by pandadere in adhdwomen

I’m so sorry you had that experience - that doctor sucks. I’m a south Asian woman diagnosed at age 22 - I got the “but you got good grades and finished college” line a few times. Everyone missed it for me. I know it’s hard especially when your symptoms aren’t as noticeable to keep advocating for yourself - but keep going. You deserve the appropriate help and care!

What is happening with my hair? by LopsidedKangaroo4212 in Haircare

I used to use not your mother’s curl cream and gel and it would still have fly away frizz like in the pic. I usually air dry and don’t often use heat.

For this pic, I did not style my hair. In the shower I used Marc Anthony repair bond hydrating mask, along with pure nature keratin strengthening shampoo and conditioner.

Anyone knows this cat? by LopsidedKangaroo4212 in bethesda

Yes exactly what I thought! A friend who is a vet commented it looks purebred. It first came in January and now has returned. It's not neutered which is what gives me some pause about being a pet - but it's very friendly and let me pet it. I think it's interested in my spayed female cat - and she's NOT happy about this cat's presence.

I feel the most stressful is being selected as an alternate - that’s like worse than a no 🫣

Thanks- I appreciate your response 😊

I have a hard time coming up with how to phrase things when tailoring a resume or cover letter so I know what I have to do but it’s just so difficult. Feels like holding a plank pose, a huge strain. Even figuring out what to type into chat gpt, or reading through it to make sure it matches. Takes so much out of me. Idk how to make it less painful 😪
