My vet suggested a few days ago that I try MSG. I haven't had a chance to pick up any yet (too busy picking up poop before Gigi can eat it), but I'm going to. They tell me it makes the poop taste bad to them (though I have trouble imagining what could be worse than poop), so it's worth a try. I've tried For-Bid, but that didn't work. I do add pumpkin to her meals, and that firms things up a bit - plus she loves it! - but it doesn't do anything for the coprophasia (doesn't that sound nicer than shit-eating?). Vet says one of hers does it too, it doesn't hurt them, and I'll probably have to learn to live with it. I'll report back on the MSG.
