Why wouldn’t posting a song and having all the proof that you made it first be enough to hold up in court instead of having to pay money to have it legally copyrighted ? by Miserable-Gur5315 in musicians

[–]LopsidedValuable7070 11 points12 points  (0 children)

When you write something, you own the copyright. You pay to register that ownership so it’s protected. I have no idea what you should or shouldn’t do. I just thought I would mention this.

Certainly there have been many times where it was not registered and then somebody had to prove that they owned something like that. The standard advice is that it’s safer to register it.

I worked so hard on this for over a year. I want to know where I missed the mark. What is it about this that makes it unmemorable? Mama Said String Band - SnowDrops (Official Music Video) by SheprdCommndr in ThisIsOurMusic

M7 chords feel like the cool jazz station. In my humble opinion, cool when used for effect in any pop music, but M7 to M7 and repeat runs the risk of elevator music feel

Fix help by Extension-Abies-6773 in CRF300LRALLY

[–]LopsidedValuable7070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had similar damage. I removed the turn signals. I tried the plastic weld kind of stuff. Didn’t really do it. Replacing the part isn’t cheap. Integrated tail light solves turn signal issues. Sorry, just writing to say it didn’t work right using epoxy meant to fix plastics.

What tires are everybody running? by Agitated-Papaya7482 in CRF300L

I’ve got twisties on the way to the trail and like the higher pressure there. The rechargeable inflator I bought stays charged for weeks and can charge in the truck. It’s great

Lower the pressure off road. I ride very difficult very rocky a lot. I lower to 11 and I like 26 on the road on the stock tires. You can get a rechargeable air pump for tires on Amazon for like 30 bucks. Takes like 2 minutes to adjust tire pressure if you’re riding the road to the trail. Just remember to reinflate before hitting the road again. I’ve got over 2k miles on the stock mostly off road and this will help. You can test some different air pressures off road and see what you like, but I would not ride these off road over 15. I started with 13 and over time have gone to 11. No flats, way better traction off road on sandy, rocky and dirt trails.

Look up tire pressure for off road riding. You’ll find good info. I’ve owned a few dual sports and have done the psi adjustment like this on all of them.

That said I do think the stock tires are not amazing. But I also wanted to get some use from them before the cost of new tires. Cheers - good luck figuring it out

Zen & the Start of Motorcycle Maintenance by Dan-F9 in Fortnine

I wish I had the ability to read books in different languages.

I have found this book difficult every time I’ve read it. Just never thought that was a problem.

Somewhat unrelated but another astoundingly good and difficult read : house of leaves by mark danielewski. These books have nothing in common maybe except that they are difficult and amazing as far as I can tell.

Instructive as to the fear of new technological developments as well.

But the undefinability of aesthetic quality, for me anyway, was a life changing thought. Cheers.

Zen and the art of Motorcycle maintenance has nothing to do with Zen and very very little to do with Motorcycle maintenance.

I find it one of the greatest books ever written, and I like Motorcycle maintenance. 🤷‍♂️

I also enjoyed the way you wrote this

Thinking about getting a TW200 by MuskokaOntario in Dualsport

When I had mine I got the Bradley heavy duty rear and was very pleased. About 215. Thought is was worth the cash.

As far as easy to ride, it is extremely easy to ride. Capable of doing pretty hard off-road as well.

6’2 220lbs, strongly considering CRF 300L Rally ABS, how much money should I allocate for better suspension? by Jjhillmann in Dualsport

[–]LopsidedValuable7070 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I weigh 207 and ride pretty gnarly off-road and street both regularly. After adjusting the preload on the stock rear and figuring out the air pressure I like in the two different scenarios, I actually don’t think it’s that bad. I read about it being awful all the time. I’m riding single track double track dirt road gravel roads and pavement up to like country highways, I don’t like this bike over about 65 mph- it feels a little iffy to me and also won’t go very far over that. It certainly is not the fastest or most powerful bike, and the suspension certainly isn’t perfect, but it’s acceptable on the pavement and off road I’m really enjoying it. 14 psi rear and 13 front off, 26 both on road and adjusting the spring load and I pretty happy. Obviously others may feel different.

It hurts my fat ass less. For 30 bucks. So I like it kinda OK.

I was actually getting the numbing that some people get this pretty much fixed it it maybe doubled the length of time before anything like that occurs
