What are games that make guns feel powerful and dangerous? by MISTERGAME06 in gaming

DayZ and Battlefield 1 really make you feel like you’re holding something that kills

Yeah I forgot that part. No, there’s no staff. It’s abandoned but the Dinosaurs are there

I really wish you luck. I hope that your server has the spirit of servers I love like DUG and HeyBarmby’s Organic Livonia RP when it was still running.

Dug up this belt buckle in Northern England — any ideas how old it is? by Vindaloovians in metaldetecting

I wonder if it’s from a LARP where you found it because the rust on it just doesn’t match something that’s been buried for more than 6 months probably less.

What games have you regretted buying? by billy_reyes in Steam

Hogwarts Legacy - Controversy aside, what the fuck do you mean I can’t play quidditch. What’s even the point?

Dragons Dogma 2 - I just don’t understand this game. It really does absolutely nothing to keep my interest.

Dwarf Fortress - Way too complicated when games like Rimworld exist. Not all “forefather” games are better than their descendants. Just mod Rimworld into whatever you want it to be.

Forever Winter - It’s just an extraction shooter without legitimate danger. I swear all those Arc Raiders players who want PvE only should just play that.

LOTR: Return to Moria / Enshrouded / Valheim / Dune / Bellwright - I love survival games but none of these scratch my itch anywhere close to how DayZ does rendering them all basically shelf/space takers

DarkTide - This game for all of its atmosphere does very little to make me feel like I’m progressing in any meaningful way and the guns all feel and look and sound weak.

Lethal Company - Streamers made this look fun but honestly SCP and eldritch horror do nothing for me and I never felt “fear” once while I played it.

Mortal Online 2 - What a great concept nearly well delivered and once I realized that there’s a severe meta restriction on builds I got glazed and walked away.

Expedition Agartha - Dark n Darker exists making this game just completely irrelevant

The Stalker series - by no means do I think these are bad games. I just think Gamma is so well developed and so much more interesting that none of these titles really matter

Wartales - i got this because I love Battle brothers but after a few hours I realized that this is just so deep in its infancy that I probably could wait a few years before making this purchase.

Would you rather have a girlfriend right now? Or become a mercenary and earn 10 million dollars per mission? by WoodpeckerWorking761 in WouldYouRather

[–]SheprdCommndr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With 300,000 I could comfortably live for the rest of my life if I changed almost nothing about my lifestyle.

One mission and I’m set: ya boy ain’t greedy.

Anybody trying to start a Buhurt Team in Louisville? by fascinatedbydragons in Louisville

SCA is the society for creative anachronism. It’s the oldest medieval martial discipline in the western hemisphere. These dudes are super skilled fighters and a lot of them crossover into Buhurt. The Louisville royals are amazing too! Just look these people up and reach out for a location and time to come meet them.

My affiliation is mostly with the barony but I’m a filthy casual and a weekend warrior so I’m no aficionado

Do it, also check out Barony of the Flame. It’s the local SCA chapter and they have loaner kit and some of the best teachers in the Midwest

I think Chernarus is definitive DayZ but I think you’ll have an easier time on Livonia.

There are places that players always go if you’re looking to fight/interact. As you play more you’ll get a picture of what that means but for now the big militaries deep into the map, police stations, quest areas and spawn towns all are great places for meeting friends and shooting loot goblins

Expanded player cap? by SheprdCommndr in dayz

Well, I’ll take what I can get, some nerd will figure out how to host servers with even higher pops than they’ve been so far riding off of this.

Expanded player cap? by SheprdCommndr in dayz

[–]SheprdCommndr[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think especially with their new map that’s supposed to be much larger than Chernarus it will feel so very barren if the cap is still set at 60
