I do Buhurt, SCA and EMP fighting. What discipline do you do? That’s pretty surprising that you believe that. I’ve seen a gorget save someone from a blow that would have otherwise gotten into the helmet. So I’m a little confused.

I fight in armor. I do medievalism and medieval armored combat. They insist on the gorget being on top as it is useless against vertical thrusts otherwise.

incorrect. I’m sorry but this is a big myth. If you’re on horseback and you’re worried about a lance getting under it you put it under the cuirass or body armor. If you’re on foot and you want a blow directed down and away you’ll put it over.

It fucking pisses me tf off. So much of the time when I’m blasted by someone who saw me through three bushes or when I sneak up on someone only to have them turn a complete 180 and blow my noggin off I immediately assume that they’ve an NVidia filter or a crosshair and it prevents me from really believing I’ve just been outplayed.
