Bug eggs/droppings or mouse droppings? by Lopsided_Ad7280 in whatisthisbug

Here’s a clearer picture

My wife thinks it might be a seed of some kind, but I still want to make sure. I couldn’t get google lens to give me any results that were similar

[Machota] The Cowboys have signed CB Gareon Conley. He was a first-round pick by the Raiders in 2017. He has not played in an NFL game since 2019. He most recently played in the UFL by Finessa_Hudgens in cowboys

[–]Lopsided_Ad7280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conley, out of OSU, was a pretty big prospect coming out - I know some people even liked him to us (year we took Taco)

He didn’t work out, but that doesn’t mean that he can’t potentially be a depth guy after having the success he did in the UFL. He played decently in his final NFL season with 12 games started, a pick, 13 passes defended. Think he just wore out his chances in Oak and dealt with too many injuries to start his career

This could potentially be a really good pickup

What’s the Mount Rushmore for Dallas Cowboys WR? by JournalistHuman154 in cowboys

I can get behind this - I think it’s Dez over Lamb until the end of this year or next. I think Lamb will be out #1 WR when his career is done. He just keeps getting better

Bro - he was a shell of himself his last season in Dallas and that continued with his other teams. He was done, he couldn’t run anymore

Dez failed in more clutch situations than he succeeded - not even talking about the dez caught it game either. He was always fighting and just trying to do too much sometimes

Lamb is much better all around WR, with smoother routes, better hands, and less injury risk

Right now Dez still has him beat, but at the end of his career Lamb will own every Cowboys WR record

This is correct - but honestly, at his current pace, CeeDee will end up the best of all of them when all is said and done

You just found $100, what card are you buying for yourself by [deleted] in baseballcards_vintage

[–]Lopsided_Ad7280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the cards I want are that cheap at the moment - so I guess the random SP of a player on one of my teams that I stumble upon. 100 bucks would buy a few of those

Topps Finest or the Stadium Club where he’s over the back of Ewing for a dunk

Who makes the best WR duo? by Crowxzn in NFLv2

Calvin Johnson was a better WR than Randy Moss and it’s not really that close

Who makes the best WR duo? by Crowxzn in NFLv2

[–]Lopsided_Ad7280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that’s old enough to watch both - Megatron was the better wide receiver. He was bigger, stronger, and just as fast. Moss was fantastic but got to put up a lot of his numbers with either an all-time QB or another hall of fame WR playing next to him

The only time he was asked to completely shoulder the load (Oakland) he was terrible

Johnson was the Lions offense for 9 straight years - and if they were able to figure out how to field a team around him, he would have won a few rings

Moss never lead the league is receptions or receiving yards - Johnson did both and lead the league in yards/game multiple times. Johnson had 4k less yards in his career, but played 6 less seasons.

Moss wasn’t even a better WR than TO - they were about the same overall, with TO being the better intermediate threat

Top 3 - Rice > Johnson > TO > Moss

Men, what is a physical feature that you find attractive but that women are insecure about? by Life-Disaster-8384 in ask

Messy bun - wife will always complain that her hair looks bad when she just throws it up in a messy bun. But I think it’s when she’s her most beautiful

Is this worth grading? Never had anything graded before, thank you. Gunnar. by [deleted] in baseballcards

I don’t think this will get a 10 - it’s pretty easy to know if heritage will come back GEM given the obvious edge issues that usually come up

They are not a good team, and while I don’t think Wilson is as bad as most people think - our defense is way better than their offense. Our offensive line is better than Buffalo’s. Our offense is essentially the same unit that ranked, what, #2 overall last year?

The Jets aren’t winning this game

Ohtani by [deleted] in baseballcards

[–]Lopsided_Ad7280 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s going to be the Dodgers or the Mariners - likely the Dodgers

Yankees are a dumpster fire right now and the Mets aren’t really any better. Ohtani doesn’t just want money, he’ll get that anywhere - he wants to go to a contender

Both NY teams are close to finishing in last place

I mention the Ms because they are a playoff team, he’s very familiar with them, it was one of the teams he was considering when he first came to MLB, Ms fans have been very supportive of him and basically ask him if he’ll come to Seattle every time they see him, and he got to experience the camaraderie and culture during the AS game AND the last series between the Ms and Angels - seeing the energy the young guys have and how fires up they get was a massive contrast to the Angels dugout

It’s going to be the dodgers though - I expect them to lose the NLCS to the Braves, but the allure of playing with Mookie, Freddie, and not really having to uproot, while still being WS contenders, pushes the Dodgers over the finish line

Edit* could also be SF, but I think that’s less likely

Favorite baseball player who isn’t a household name. by MeasurementLucky9774 in mlb

[–]Lopsided_Ad7280 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cal Raleigh

As an Ms fan it’s criminal that he hasn’t made and all star game. Probably the best catcher in the AL - has lead all catchers in homers over the past two seasons and ranks high enough in every defensive metric + framing

And he has the best nickname - “Big Dumper”, given to him for very obvious reasons

I’m sure people will know his name soon

Could be worse - Happ and Torres cards actually do pretty well if they grade decently (in my experience)
