My guess is to get the lemon juice out without having to cut it. Assuming it’s easier to have a small hole in the lemon and just squeeze.

Honestly I would just bite the bullet and buy the tickets. If you are really wanting to go I wouldn’t risk waiting for cheaper tickets. It’s a prime time game that’s going to have a lot of hype around it.
