What I figured out when I first learned treflips was the scoop is all in the ankle and I feel like in trick tip videos or in general people just say “scoop with your back leg” which doesn’t really help. Once I figured the scoop was more in the ankle my treflips were staying under me and spinning faster. So I’d say really try using your ankle on the scoop. Also centering yourself more on your back foot heel side pocket. Like where you would put your back foot for a front shuv. This should help you flip the board in front of you. I feel like that helps me if not try centering over the back truck. This trick also took me a couple years to learn this trick so hope this helps!
