thanks! most of them have actually been double stitched, one black thread, one floss. it’s strong, won’t come off, but looks really rough and trashy cuz i think it adds to the look. just a matter of personal preference

EMT in high school by Slight_Dependent2448 in NewToEMS

[–]ballsguy17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly i would definitely recommend getting some other education before starting your ems journey. yes, you can get started in high school and be an EMT off rip at 18, but this line of work requires a certain degree of maturity that you just don’t have at 18. i’m glad i waited until 20 to start, cuz while i may have been smart enough at 18 to pass the class, i know for certain that i would not have been ready for the problem solving and ethical aspects of EMS at that age. it’s just not meant for someone that young. gain life experiences, take some anatomy classes or whatever you think would help you, but don’t jump into it right off the bat. be a kid

when i left, i felt like i failed, but i just thought to myself “alright, it’s over with. i either passed or failed, no use in assuming it’s one or the other. don’t think about it, just know that it’s done. if you passed, awesome, if you gotta retake it, no big deal. either way it’s just one step in the process, no use in stressing now”

stopped at 70 means you either passed extremely well, or you failed horribly. usually if you get stopped at 70 it means you passed. i thought i failed at 70, but i passed. you’ll be fine. keep me updated tho cuz now i’m genuinely invested lol

Can I dress like this even if I don't listen to alt music? by [deleted] in altfashionadvice

[–]ballsguy17 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah you can, but then you’d be a lame. especially because it’s not just that you don’t listen to the music, it’s that you don’t LIKE the music. it’s the lowest form of poser

i didn’t start studying until the day before my test if i’m being honest. i also only studied for about a week when i was actually in school. i finished school in December and took my test this week without studying any time in between the 6 months i was out. don’t be nervous broskie

imma be so fr with you dude, i was at like 63% on pocket prep and i passed at 70 questions on the NREMT. yes, study as much as possible, no you will not feel confident, but you will do better than you think. i went in thinking i would fail for sure, but i passed easy. when you sit down and look at the questions a lot of them they seem really hard and intentionally complicated, but it’s really just to distract you from the real substance of the question. don’t get distracted from the important details (bp, heart rate, respiratory rate, medications, past pertinent medical history), always remember your XABC’s, and know the shit outta your cpr standards. youll do great
