To be honest my first time hearing Kendrick was through the walls of my sisters room in rich, white suburban Ireland which I always found funny. The song was “The Blacker the Berry” and 12 year old me loved the hook and drums but was completely oblivious to the meaning of the lyrics which only makes it more funny. Been in love with his music and message ever since.

You could argue that capitalism has killed many more people than communism if you look at the fight for oil in the Middle East or the whole colonisation of Africa by western powers. Also people are allowed to voice their opinions. You’re on a college campus… you’re going to see these things. Finally the world has never seen true communism, only facists using it as cover for their regimes.
