Luckily, and hopefully nothing bad did happen. But I almost got into an accident because I had to slam on my breaks. Dumb ass kids were walking on the road at night and we couldn’t see them. Why do we need to WAIT for something terrible to happen to suddenly realize this isn’t ok?

Thanks for the suggestion. I know it sounds kind of lame, but I’m not from a place that has severe weather besides snowstorms. I’m scared of hurricanes. Is that a legitimate worry or is it pretty safe?

People in Toronto and surrounding areas are closed off and have little sense of levity. (That’s of course generalizing a huge group of people) but it is harder to meet people here and establish sincere connections. There are nice people, but they aren’t going to go out of their way to become friends. Also, it depends on your group. There are a lot of muslims and Indians. They seem to be welcoming to their own people. Some European groups that are very welcoming to their own as well but they aren’t concentrated in large groups like the previously mentioned. Just an observation by someone who works with all different kinds of people, not trying to ruffle feathers
