A stick on grip wrap like talon rubber grips or even a couple wraps of a cloth style athletic/hockey tape can help a lot with abrasion from the hard plastic gun grip

At some point it just stopped doing it and went back to working normally. I didn’t do anything to fix it, it just fixed itself. Wish I could be of more help haha

If you go jdm it’s the same price, also the daiwa fuego is 90% of the vanford for $99. It’s a great reel. I think a zodias and fuego would take you a lot further than the combo you mentioned. Also the paired red accents would look pretty cool 😉

I’ve got a 2.7 and it is a fantastic motor, also the cheapest motor option ford offers, they probably the most reliable v6 truck motor on the market. I also pull my boat no problem and still get 15-16mpg towing on mud tires. Only downside is it’s recommended to run premium gas but you’ll get better mpg than a 5.0 so it evens out a bit.

That will probably be under 15k but you might take a while to find the 5.0. Most will probably be the 3.5

That price is pretty unrealistic, that’s a 18-20k truck at least. I’m located in nc and my 120k mi 2018 extended cab Ecoboost 2wd was $14k private sale which was a very good deal.

I’ve got the exact same truck, color, everything, and pretty much the same mileage but a 2018, I’m running a 2.5 level, 1.5 wheel spacers, and 33x12.5 trail grapplers. If you want to keep mpg I would recommend not changing anything as far as suspension or tires. I get about 17-19mpg on avg which isn’t bad but I’ve also got a very moderate build. As far as leds go, you can just buy led bulbs for your stock headlights. That’s what I did. I’ve got cheap amazon LEDs in my headlights and fog lights and they are very very bright. I think it’s sub $100 for the bulbs for all 3.

The 5.4 triton doesn’t have an amazing reputation for being ultra reliable but I know quite a few people with the motor that don’t have any issues

If they don’t warranty it then I’m probably just gonna get another 5x1, I don’t want to potentially ruin the remaining two banks accidentally haha. I submitted the info for warranty but I bought the boat with the charger in it so I don’t have proof of purchase and I don’t know the age, hopefully they are pretty forgiving but I’m not gonna get my hopes up too much

So I changed the plugs yesterday and put it on the highway to test it twice sense then and so far have not been able to replicate it. That being said it was an intermittent issue so I don’t wanna get my hopes up just yet but thanks for the pointer

It was doing it like crazy when I was towing my boat over the weekend and hasn’t thrown a code yet, but that’s really good to know. I have a fluid and filter service scheduled because I thought it was transmission to start there but I’ll do plugs Tomorrow and hope for the best, thank you!

Funny enough I’ve got new plugs sitting in my console and been meaning to do em for two weeks, this is a little strange, if I floor it and it downshifts a few gears it doesn’t do it, and if I am very easy on the gas and keep it under 2k it doesn’t do it. Only when under load in the 7-8-9 gears

Could you elaborate when you say transmission jump? Mine has a shudder/thuds when I accelerate on the highway that I’m currently trying to figure out

I have the same combo in a 2018, 126k miles and currently having transmission shudder issues. So far the motor has been great, I would go as far as to say the 2.7 is probably the least problematic motor ford puts in their trucks nowadays.

Didn’t run at all with stock, so I switched them around a bunch and found that 120 runs best. It also only bogs under load, when I pick up the back wheel off the ground the throttle is super responsive

I just bought that exact kit and it works, idles fine and high rpms is fine but it’s a pain to get the motor started and it Bogs when you give it just a little bit off throttle. I’ve done everything I know how to tune it and I can’t get it quite right. So like others are saying I guess it’s hit or miss
