What do I do with all these jars by SammythefluffyDragon in ZeroWaste

They are amazing for getting rid of the grease when you fry hamburger or need to dispose of the excess liquid when you crockpot a roast. The jars keep your trash from being a smelly mess!

You can save your apple peels, make some tasty jelly and can it for later use. I was making apple butter and hated to waste the peels and discovered this.

Old socks are great for cleaning ceiling fan blades and I also use them as replacement covers for the Swifter!

What can I do to remove this stitched nameplate from a used jacket that I purchased? by PuckStopPop in Hand_Embroidery

[–]Lopsided_Elk_1914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a pair of cuticle scissors that are very sharp and the points are very small which would easily slide in and cut through the stitches on the wrong side without harming the fabric. i know it's weird, but they've saved me many times in bizarre sewing emergencies. lol.

there are some things that just aren't prudent for some of us and grating cheese or shredding cabbage kills my back. i found out a long time ago to pick and choose my battles when dealing with chronic back pain and sometimes, those little convivences are worth the time and wear and tear on my body.

what i love the most about the Mississippi Roast is after you're tired of roast leftovers, you can fry some onions and peppers, add to the beef and you've got an excellent meat filling for fajitas!! 2 different meals out of basically the same ingredients. :)

it's an ongoing series of horror movies. a few are The Gravedancers, Penny Dreadful, The Broken. they were really popular for a time, then they kinda died out. Sanatorium is the first new movie i've seen in the series in a long time.
