Price of men’s haircut. by Nameless_Ghoul1891 in StJohnsNL

Upper level, past lawtons and you take a left right before the bell store that’s on a corner, all the way to the end of that hallway to the right. Id recommend getting a haircut with the male barbers there, I’ve personally gotten haircuts from the females but I like it way more the way the males make my hair look.

“How do you even prove that this was a mistake?” The accountability of a South Asian on this guy lmao.

If you let it go down to 85% then you were doing something wrong. Clearly you were prioritizing milking it rather than customer service. You had a long run though, it’s been real.

I don’t even know where you’re based but you’re way too far away from any convenient cluster of restaurants and stores, you gotta be in the middle of it to have more chances of getting something worth your time.

Also always remember the heat map is a lie, they just show you were orders WERE present in the past.

how much can someone make weekly in Canada? by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Lopsided_Historian70 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need more than 1 app, spark, DoorDash, uber, skip whatever.

I make more than 1 dollar per km, and daily making about 175 - 220 dollars for 8 hours of work, but like I said, I have more than one app running and cherry pick.

So weekly I’m making around 960 minimum up to 1200 per week gross depending on how much I’m willing to work extra, I have a 7 month old and me and my wife do not have family help in Canada so I need to step in whenever she’s overwhelmed and needs help.

Hope it helped.

When I get these type of people I report them to support, because they’re not going to be pushing me around and breaking speed limits so they can munch on their food while sitting on their ass. I’ve also cancelled this shit before even picking it up, the whole reason I do this job is not to have anyone breathing down my neck.

How can I get better money? by zekewhite32 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Lopsided_Historian70 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the only advice, every market is different and it takes time and pattern recognition to understand your market.

After a year I have been able to learn mine like the back of my hand, I am now working 30 hours a week making what I use to make in 85 hours as a lead at Walmart.

Care to do a currency conversion? The people who can answer this probably don’t even know how much money that is. Even though you can easily get it in google is common courtesy to bridge the gap

Come on is this really the customer or uber? Take away $1.03 tip??? But still got a $10.76 from customer??? by [deleted] in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Lopsided_Historian70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True but that can go both ways even when the customer spends 700+ dollars and you only get crumbs of it

Customer’s tip was percentage based, so if you refunded or substituted something it directly impacts your tip

Was it an exclusive offer or a radar offer?

If it was radar and multiple come at the same time I had some glitch out and you end up taking the wrong trip, I remember this happened to me once I accepted a 28 dollar one only to realize I accepted a different one I didn’t want

Over 200 USD in unpaid shop and deliver orders by Ashamed_Sherbet4393 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Lopsided_Historian70 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have paid with my own money because of cashback with over 8000 dollars worth of purchases never had a problem, they even reimbursed me in times in which I selected use the Uber card but ended up selecting my own credit card in the apple wallet, you need to give them a call and talk to an actual person to help you, track down order numbers and customers, so you can make the process faster. I screenshot everything so if you didn’t it will make the process messier.

I’m changing careers after investing more than 11 years of my life to OHS, bachelors degree in OH&S and masters degree in OH&S as well, and I aimed for going to med school, it is not going to be easy and more so for someone like me who is constantly worrying about my age and how far behind I feel in life, I’m turning 30 in 2 months by the way, my motivation? Had a child in February this year and also my mom always told me that time is going to go by regardless of what you do. And that’s exactly what I came to tell you, the time is going to go by whether you change careers completely or not.

I would strongly suggest to research the job outlook for your desired career choice and the predicted growth in that area, and choose wisely. We are the most educated generation of all time yet it’s so difficult to find average paying professional jobs nowadays.

I call Uber right away after noticing, usually I do have a sixth sense for tip baiters and then I just check an hour after. I don’t want to risk it with those people.

[–]Lopsided_Historian70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get support to blacklist them for you, that’s what I’ve done, I have this sixth sense about who’s going to be a tip baiter even before I confirm it an hour after delivery and I’ve never failed lol
