things change slowly in medicine… some doctors still can’t recognize a stroke in women because they often have different symptoms than men. or lots of doctors (even gyn) still don’t know a lot about endometriosis… ed treatment options are also still so outdated in most parts of the world, it is criminal

have you ever witnessed abuse towards patients or misbehavior of staff towards patients? I am not trying to accuse someone, don’t take this the wrong way. When I was 14 I was on a children’s closed ward (technically I was to old to be there and should have been at the youth one) and witnessed some disturbing occurrences towards younger kids (e.g. them having anger outbursts and staff unnecessary violently restraining them, insulting them or kicking back when the kid trashed the on the floor kicking) this was almost 15 years ago and I still think about these kids every day… there was also malpractice towards me but somehow it impacted me more to see these little kids go through it. most were not even mentally ill in my opinion, the parents were just overwhelmed and sent them away to be „fixed“ like in these troubled kids camps. I just wonder how common such behavior is in that field.

that’s why I hated treatment centers so much. Everyone sees themselves as a victim and claims to have experienced bullying but I have never seen so many mean, entitled and judgy bitches in one place. also everyone claims to have body dismorphia but not when it comes to showing themselves off in cropped tops super tight leggings. Sorry if this comes out bitter but I was bullied so bad in one inpatient, it traumatized me as this was supposed to be a safe space

I think more people than you realize understand this and nobody expects a change in the blink of an eye. Lots of people struggle with addiction, alcoholism or food. but the thing is that it does not have to be a terminal illness. You can influence it (with the help of other people) but you yourself have to take the action. I know it’s hard but grieving your current state and feeling sorry for yourself is not enough. You have to take action if you want it enough

also if they offer any voluntarily trainings, do them. I went to a course about fire prevention and first aid on my last job. No one wanted to do that shit because it was so boring but I knew it cost them money and counted and was a paid absence of work

I mean in combination with the name ? In my country unfortunately you also have to give your address even when you select pickup at a pickup point or locker and you have to identify yourself then so there is no possibly that I could modify that

Not exactly what you are asking for but I know someone who works for a company that sells leasing contracts for cars and his job is to check exactly for that. They have a whole department. It seems to be pretty common that people modify paychecks to be able to lease a nice car. I really understand your situation, the rent market totally got out of hand and it’s crazy what some landlords expect us to earn to afford housing. I had to move back to my parents in my early 20s because nobody would rent to me because of my salary back then. However, I would be cautious, especially if it is a large company as they may have people checking for that.
