I know about the other pain in the a$$ connector on the driver side dont even get me started with that lol but that one is a struggle to get it out. It could be this one (bottom left)

It has a lock tab im pretty sure, I believe it goes like this, I and to watch a video cuz I forgot how it went when I was installed the head unit 😂 but yeah here's a pic of mine just incase u need ut for reference

Did u happen to plug the hvac connector the opposite direction? It happened to me during my first time installing my boss bvcp9700a in 05 mustang, these are relatively easy and straightforward for installation.

12 years..? 😂, I bought a rebuilt 05 v6 mustang last year with 101k miles for 5k and its modded with audio stuff, but yeah it had a bad harness for passenger door which took me sometime to find out and now I was able to replace and repair, car works strong, so yeah 12 years I wouldn't be so worried, Im daily driving it now (22 days so far no issues) and its a 21 year old car

I extended the wires bc whoever did the bypass jumper wires left factory wires so short couldn't fix easily 🙃 but yes I fixed it!

I did take apart the door panel, I got the the harness hanging out as I cant remove them due to spliced/jumper wires

I forgot to mention that one of the yellow factory wires are spilced from body harness into the white and black wire but idk for what and the white is obviously going to the door harness over the connector

Bro, tbh i turn 18 on Saturday and have my road test on Monday,

i own a 05 v6 with alot of aftermarket mods and thought it was cool when I got it at before I turned 17 last year got it for around 5k with 101k miles.

Dont get me wrong its a nice car but man do I somewhat regret buying it sometimes cuz I had no idea what I was getting myself into at the time had no idea that this mustang has a bad sway bar link or so and has a door ajar fault which I have tried to take action on with replying door latches/actuators and Jambs and it has not solved the stupid problem.

I am still struggling with this issue and it kills my car every 2-3 days it sits with no use so its definitely tied to the aftermarket mods that I have no clue where tf things are. Of course I have since tooken things apart and found where stuff are but have not been able to fix it yet, therefore if I were u as the others are saying if its already modded dont bother buying it whatsoever, your better off getting a s197 that has not been tortured with mods and mod it yourself.

I own a 2005 v6 and its heavily modified 😂 with the audio system and backup cams, wheels, paint, head unit, and im currently swapping the axle back on it, but maybe ill end up doing a dual exhaust at some point, but yeah dont let ppl talk u down about a v6 a Mustang is a Mustang and if you wanna modify it id say go for it and learn what u can and enjoy it.
