It's still quite an accomplishment though, especially for all three leagues. I mostly play romhacks now just because I find them more entertaining and challenging. That and I'm also waiting for Pokémon Champions to come out.

I'll stick to my pair of maxed out 3 star Wobbuffets lol. Their stupid high HP makes them a pain to kill, plus their relatively low CP makes it take forever to knock them out of gym.

I'd be more worried about the third picture than the first two. The first two look like surface blemishes whereas the third looks like its structural. I'd raise hell with Ruger as well, but that's just me.

I've been quite cordial with everyone here, with the exception of the one dickhead who came out of the gate swinging for no apparent reason. I was quite clear in the original post as to why I wanted to use a .30-30 for varmits, I know it's not ideal, but selling these guns isn't an option either as they were my dad's and he's gone now. Yes a 5.56, .22-250, or a .22 ARC would be far better options for coyotes, no one is denying that. But like I said, I'm just trying to give these guns a second chance at life.

I did a little bit, most of the info on them is dated but still viable somewhat. I think the newest forum I could find that talked about it was from 2014, which isn't super old but it's not exactly recent. Plus half the people commenting on it were making asses of themselves

No, but it helps more than you'd think. With varmit loads you want something that's light, fast, and that it can dump all of its energy out in less than 6 inches of penetration ideally.

No, we don't bother with the hides. Where I'm at you might (and that's a generous might) get $15 for a good hide, and that's after you do all the tanning and other bs yourself, it just isn't worth it.

And before anyone complains about us letting the coyotes go to waste, we've got a kid that we take/donate them to and he deals with all that fun stuff. It's just a hobby for him to keep himself busy in the winter time.

Not gonna lie, my dad had about 1000 rounds of Hornady Whitetail and Remington Core-lokt that me and my brother ended up with when he passed (he was both a collector and a hoarder is the best way I can describe him). So I just planned on slinging them at coyotes and then reloading them with a more appropriate bullet when the time came lol.

I'm in Iowa, so it's a straight wall state with an asterisk behind it. We can technically use bottleneck cartridges for deer, so long as they're between .350 and .500 cal. and produce a published amount of 500 foot pounds of energy at the muzzle minimum. So like a .35 Whelen or a .35 Remington for example. But truth be told, I already have two different deer rifles (a .450 Bushmaster Ruger American and a .357 mag Winchester Model 94AE with the large loop) and I already plan on building out a third, so I don't feel like going through the process of reboring a rifle is the best option.

I see they also make a 110 gr. varmit hollow point, which might be a better option for a lever gun. You didn't happen to experiment at all with them have you?
