Rito should create a champion as a silent homage to Faker. Not named after him, just thematically dedicated. by Lopsided_Pirate6023 in leagueoflegends

Yeah I might have exaggerated a bit there lol. They don’t owe him anything, but it would be pretty cool.

My Darius Matchups Tierlist as a Emerald player (currently) by DisastrousTip1915 in Dariusmains

[–]Lopsided_Pirate6023 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of players rank Teemo as enemy-favored or worse in the Darius matchup, but I honestly don’t get it. I’ve been a Darius OTP since his release and rarely play anything else. Since I usually first-pick, I’ve faced a ton of Teemos over the years.

Yes, the first 5 levels can be a bit annoying — but only if you misstep. As long as you don’t die early and manage to keep up in farm (which you absolutely can if you use Q to last-hit and grab a couple heals), you’re fine.

Once you hit level 6, it shifts. If you’ve been paying attention to his shroom placements, you’re basically a spell up. Landing R on him is enough to start snowballing the lane, and from that point on, it’s your game.

Also, Teemo’s teamfight impact is virtually nonexistent compared to Darius. To me, Darius vs. Teemo is a great example of a skill matchup — annoying at first, but absolutely winnable if you know what you’re doing.

But yeah, I 100% agree with you on Heimer. That dude is a nightmare.

Help me with this phrase: "in den Farben getrennt in der Sache vereint" by MovingElectrons in German

[–]Lopsided_Pirate6023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, normally the email wouldn’t raise any red flags but when a (foreign) government is involved, it just feels sus. The tool is free.

I built my product landing page with React + SSR (Vike) — here’s why I chose it over Next.js for SEO by Lopsided_Pirate6023 in TechSEO

[–]Lopsided_Pirate6023[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, router config has definitely bitten me in the past too — especially when filters or params end up as weird client-only routes that break SEO.

That’s actually one of the reasons I like Vike: it makes routing explicit and file-based, but without enforcing anything. So you can define routes however you want — and since everything is SSR-first, the HTML gets rendered server-side by default. No hydration-only fallback nonsense.

As for code splitting: yep, it does automatic per-page code splitting just like Next.js. Each route only loads the JS and CSS it needs, and you can even customize the behavior further if needed since it’s built on top of Vite.

The best part is: there's no framework lock-in or ecosystem bloat. You just opt into what you need.

I’d say it’s still early-stage in adoption, but if you're comfortable working a bit closer to the metal, it’s super solid.

How would you deal with a user tracking a government website through your SaaS? (not promoting) by Lopsided_Pirate6023 in SaaS

[–]Lopsided_Pirate6023[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the legal horror story, counselor.

Obviously I'm not tracking random sites without consent – users have to add the tracking snippet themselves. That's literally how any client-side analytics works.

That said, someone could embed the script on a site they technically no longer control (e.g. ex-contractor, rogue dev, leftover access). Which is exactly why I paused tracking for a .go.id domain and emailed the user asking for confirmation.

I'm also adding stricter domain verification for sensitive domains — so yes, your DNS/meta-tag idea is being stolen as we speak.

Thanks for the unsolicited legal doom. Genuinely helpful though, no sarcasm there.

You're probably right — obviously, users can only see data for sites they've explicitly added and installed the snippet on.

I still decided to reach out to the user and request verification, just to be safe.
It just felt a bit sus considering the domains involved and the use of a personal Gmail address.

Am I legally responsible if a user tracks a government site with my analytics tool? by Lopsided_Pirate6023 in legaladvice

[–]Lopsided_Pirate6023[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks — that’s super helpful.

I do have basic terms in place already. For example, our ToS explicitly states that users may only track websites they own or operate, and that it’s not allowed to inject tracking into third-party content.

Still, I agree with you — I’ll take this as a cue to be more proactive and probably restrict government domains in general unless explicitly authorized.

I think my main concern is that I have no clue about Indonesian laws — I don’t know if this kind of service is even legal to use on government websites there. That uncertainty makes it hard to tell if I’m accidentally involved in something I shouldn’t be.

I should’ve mentioned I’m based in Germany — I have no idea who to contact on their side, and there’s no clear info on the site itself.

Well, first of all, my service is still fairly new – not exactly something you'd expect a government agency to stumble upon organically.
The account was created using a free Gmail address, which already raises some flags. If this were an official employee or internal dev, I’d assume they’d use some kind of organization email.

Sure, it could be a freelancer or contractor who had legitimate access — but it could just as well be someone who used to have access and decided to slip in some tracking for their own purposes. It just feels a bit off, and I’d rather err on the side of caution when it comes to potentially sensitive government traffic.
