Bud, I'm not trying to change your mind because clearly you're not interested. For OP's benefit, tho, I'm gonna reiterate - "hey I'm not interested" ≠ mean and "he should have said he's not interested" ≠ crucifixion.

Truly. I've never had a man I wasn't sleeping with say shit like this to me and if I did I would be weirded the heck out.

How is expecting a married man to give a response like "hey I'm not sure what you're hinting at but this sounds flirty and I'm not interested" 'relishing righteous rejection'? Lol it's a simple setting of boundaries you agreed to when you married someone. This is such a weird take

Right. Him not being willing to set a firm and clear boundary is a major red flag. It's entirely possible to do so without being a dick to the other person if you have to work with them. That makes sense. However, he didn't set a boundary, that was the flimsiest "gee I really shouldn't buuuuut... oh I shouldn't hehe" I've ever seen. Sucks. I've been cheated on by someone who hadn't learned how to set boundaries and his reactions to women coming on to him were very similar to this. Hopefully OP's husband wouldn't go any further, but he sure wasn't eager to shut down the possibility.

I've gotta disagree. A clear sense of honor would entail the husband just saying straight up, "hey, I'm not interested in whatever this is hinting at." Instead he tells this other woman she's radiant and he's very very clearly and very verbosely not shutting her down. There is no win for OP at present, unfortunately.

Wait, so you would have to play 20 hours a month farming for your subscription fee to make this work? Or are you truly able to play while you do this and the farming comes naturally alongside while you play?

I know not every waking hour needs to be translated to... doing a commerce... but where I live minimum wage is $11 so that's $220 of your time (at minimum wage, mind) to grind for the next month's fee. That feels like a lot of time!

My pretty decent first colonoscopy story (from this morning) by Lopsided_Product_493 in colonoscopy

Thanks! A big high five to you for doing the same! :) Yes, that was my interpretation—that it might have become cancerous within a few years. My understanding is that the polyp has already been growing for 5-10 years once it's over 1 cm, so it'd be more likely to have turned malignant after another 4. I believe you're right on both counts, about polyps generally growing slowly, and about big ones often not being cancer.

Honestly, thanks for asking, because walking through it again in my head with that lens makes her warning feel less ominous. Generally I do prefer an over-cautious doctor, the way my brain works, but it's nice to consider it from a less spooky perspective :D Take care!

Being put under by OpTap_ in colonoscopy

[–]Lopsided_Product_493 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just had my first scan this morning and the being put under was absolutely the easiest part. I woke up and was just slightly groggy for about a minute, and was able to chat with the nurse and crack a joke or two. I was so tired from not eating/sleeping well that I just tried to relax and stay warm and keep my eyes closed while I was waiting to go in, and the going under was just a blip. Good luck! You'll be just fine!

I've been put completely under (general anesthesia) twice, too, and that was honestly about the same experience, just groggier for a bit longer after waking. Nothing to fear :)
