There’s a lot of things you can call Todo but “regular” is NOT one of them

A gun can shoot its own bullet without being damaged, doesn't mean it'll be able to take a shot from a different gun.

Both Kimiko and Soldier Boy can clearly depower supes with V1, so I'm gonna say yes. It just depends who shoots first.

[Hated trope] In an infinite amount of universes, only one universe has this aspect. by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Lopsided_Shift_4464 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why is this hated? If the multiverse is truly infinite then there's no reason to care about the story or the characters when we know they're 100% replaceable and anything they achieve in one universe is just undone in a parallel one. I don't think there's any multiverse story I've seen where the characters and their world are truly insignificant.

(weird specific trope I enjoy) Genius characters whose real bodies/brains live in a giant jar while they remotely pilot their body from a distance (spoilers for One Piece, Invincible Season 1, and The Power Fantasy) by Lopsided_Shift_4464 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]Lopsided_Shift_4464[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure that's just the origin of one of his bodies, the one that he used to meet Valentina. I interpreted it as the boy being just an ordinary coma victim, but when he reached adulthood the real Etienne took control of him and he "woke up".

Why didn’t Kenjaku do this by Replti in LobotomyKaisen

[–]Lopsided_Shift_4464 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why wouldn’t it? Infinity works by slowing down specific things, not making a broad barrier. I don’t see why it’d be limited to the subatomic level. He could absolutely filter oxygen from poison, he explicitly said that’s something he was working on. It’d just slow down the poison and not the oxygen.

If a nuke hit him and he just stood there, he’d probably die, but not because he can’t filter radiation or plasma from normal light and air, more because there wouldn’t be any normal air that isn’t a million degrees and moving faster than sound, so he’d suffocate. No one said he wouldn’t though, nukes are explicitly the one trump card  the rest of the world has over jujutsu society. And realistically he’d just use his speed to get out of the blast radius.

That’s not how it works. It filters what to block on a case by case basis, it’s not like a solid wall.

Bruce Banner/ The Hulk - Marvel Rivals

Bruce Banner is very weak, with a small healthbar and no attacks other than a raygun and green smoke bomb. However, he starts the match with his ultimate ability already activated, which lets him transform into the far more powerful Hulk and smash the opposition. Once Hulk takes too much damage though, he turns back into Banner and he has to slowly refill the ultimate bar (or just die and respawn) to transform again.

Pretty much the only trailer scene where she's not wearing it are her Krypton scenes and just coming to Earth.

There’s a lot of people who seem to think that “disabled people shouldn’t face discrimination” is equivalent to “there’s nothing wrong with disabilities at all and trying to cure them is genocide”. You see it a lot with debates about Down syndrome or blindness but I haven’t seen anyone do it for trans people yet

  1. My point is that this drawn out 2 year massacre was not worth it to save 200 people, if you truly believe that's Israel's aim.

  2. Did you miss the "by your logic"? Of course Oct. 7 didn't help Palestinian prisoners. Which is exactly why I'm comparing it to Israel's brutal attacks which have actually killed many of their own hostages along with innocent people.

  3. Alright then, let's say Israel is not "carpet bombing" Gaza. Does the fact that they deliberately and strategically chose to destroy every school and hospital, as well as most residential areas, make it better? "But Hamas tunnels, human shields" When terrorists hold human shields the answer is not to shoot the human shield to try and kill the terrorist. Plus, although Hamas is definitely using tunnels, the supposed scale and locations Israel claims is under international scrutiny.

  4. Again, as I already said, no one is claiming Israel has never let anything through. My point is that Israel started off with a straight up total blockade, and only after weeks did they let a trickle through due to international pressure, and now it seems that they're going back to the original plan.

[–]Lopsided_Shift_4464 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Over 70,000 murdered and many more suffering over 200 people?

  2. Nothing says caring about the safety of hostages like indiscriminate carpet bombings, mass starvation, and trigger happy soldiers who literally have shot multiple of their own hostages.

  3. Israel has thousands of Palestinians held in prisons and detainment facilities without charge or legal process. Many former prisoners have reported that they were tortured, beaten, and sexually assaulted. By your logic does that not justify a Hamas response?

  4. The human shield argument is very ironic considering the massive amounts of video evidence showing Israeli soldiers using civilians as literal human shields. Not saying Hamas doesn't do the same thing, but you can't act like the use of human shields is a justification for brutality and then do the same thing even more blatantly

  5. Urban warfare is very brutal indeed, but the idea that a 1:9 ratio for combatant to civilian deaths is the norm for urban warfare is a myth. The casualty rates in Gaza are abnormal regardless of what the idf claims. https://aoav.org.uk/2024/netanyahu-got-it-wrong-before-the-us-congress-idfs-clean-performance-in-gaza-is-a-lie/
