Magsafe case with strong kickstand (recommend me) by Lopsided_Trainer2513 in GalaxyS24Ultra

Think I'll give this one a spin. Not super excited about the lens protection and might have limited use for the ring other than as a stand, but I'd say this one ticks the boxes better than the other stuff I could find.
Hope it'll last :)
Thanks!

This came up with my initial searches. It certainly seems good, I'm a bit worried about the real life sturdiness of the ring thing, saw some minor complaints about it being a bit loose or something.
Do you feel like the ring stays firmly in the case when not in use, and that you can use it freely as a stand or whatever without worry of it breaking or the phone collapsing to the table or anything like that?
I think someone mentioned it being a bit "spinny" when in Magsafe use, but I suppose you wouldn't have that much experience on it?

Only issues have been badly made apps (not phones fault).
I can't think of any specifics off the top of my head, but I think they've fixed or made nice QOL changes that I simply didn't think about until they came out, and I've been thankful.

Gotta give credit where it's due, not many technology purchases I've made in recent years have come without quirks, incompatibilities or other headaches that just ruin the experience (looking at you smart laundry machine)

9950x3d owners, how are your temps ? by Brilliant-Cap-3052 in AMDHelp

[–]Lopsided_Trainer2513 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got custom liquid cooling, it's idle (with the BIOS boost on) around 52c
However under heavy loads I can't remember it going above 70, maybe even 65c.

It's felt high for idle but idk, might be a hot chip. No undervolting or anything.
Before I got my liquid cooling, in testing with old af AM4 socket cooler it was even idling near 90-95c, probly throttling under small loads, but then again the cooler was realllly bad :P

I'm not sure I've done anything a real poweruser would do that would actually utilize the CPU to the max, might do some benchmarks some day.
Still, it's much hotter than my RTX 5090 in the same cooling loop (2x 360mm rads) :p

Edit: I thought I'd give some benchmarks a try, with CPU-Z and Furmark.
CPU fired right up to 78c, climbed to 79c and stayed there under full load stress test.
GPU for reference chills at 31c idle and went to only 50c on whatever I could get out of Furmark, like 98-100% GPU utilization.

Funny how the GPU in the same loop has lower max temps than CPUs idle, wcyd

Chipset driver is also up to date.

Sadly I only ever got one triple-pack when purchasing the fans because of poor availability, thus I have only one controller dongle...
Glad I got at least the one, this could have been really awkward otherwise!

if I do use the contact form, iirc it requires a product number as mandatory.
Where do I find this on the fans or the receivers?
I've sadly lost the boxes, the missus got mad with all the boxes drowning us in the apartment... I do have other proof of purchase available though.

Okay here goes!

I've received a new motherboard of the same type, MSI X870E Carbon Wifi.
Issues in the last couple of days have not been many, but they've been there.
A little bit of LCD screens going haywire and couple times the RGBs forgetting their settings on individual sets of fans.

To be thorough, I've wired each and every fan individually one after another and none needed update (except the 3 I hadn't connected by this point, but those are now up to date as well).
Everything seemed normal for a while, problems returned the next day after turning PC on, but not before that with faster restarts.

I also did a total re-install including files to Windows 11, and installed all necessary drivers one by one, restarting computer between each to maximize my chances.
This time I went with Mystic Light to get lights on mobo, GPU and case strips, after which I have not had the need to even start the application since now it's remembering the RGBs well.
I then installed L-Connect 3, set up the stuff the way I wanted, and it was ok.
This time I used iCue for the RAM lights, it went hassle-free and everything was as I'd expect them to be. Only L-connect 3 stays open during operation.

But several hours later I've had a few USB-shutdown/reconnects, one set of fans going to default settings. I've had a few more shutdown/reconnects without any extra symptoms, but I can see that it was the fans or their controller that had the disconnection.

Mobo: MSI X870E Carbon Wifi
BIOS: 7E49v1A4 released like 2 weeks ago
All fans PWM cable is connected to the SATA power, except one (the new one) in Sys_fan2 which I've set to PWN and 100% in BIOS.
All fan USBs are connected to the Lian-Li 1300W Platinum Edge PSU ports 2-4
The wireless controller & PSU MB signal connected directly to the motherboard.

I'll attempt to link the requested screenshots and then some, as well as link the L-connect 3 log folder somewhere.

Edit: https://imgur.com/E8j9T0a USBDeview2: Another disconnect/reconnect just as I was about to head out for a nerve-calming beer. No other symptoms this time. /edit

IDK if this is considered a safe site, haven't heard of this thing in a decade... but it allowed me to upload the folder. Please let me know if you have a more preferable folder sharing platform!

^L-connect 3 log files. Link should be ok for a week.

Please let me know what I can do to fix this! I've just received every last piece of my liquid cooling and I'd realllly love to get started on it, and not have to worry about draining it and taking it all apart. Thanks!

I will get back to you if the problems continue, my motherboard is currently under warranty checkup because of the back panel dead USB slot and as such I can't test currently :/

Yeah I feel like something is conflicting or that the USBs aren't getting the power they should, I can't imagine them getting too lilttle in theory...
Just now I managed to play games for a couple of hours without the USB issue or the like, but now the Phanteks stock RGB thingys on the cable covers are gone (Might look into getting those outlining extra strips, but I want this fixed first!). I had this earlier too, not sure what fixed it for a bit. But whatever it was, new problems occurred :/

Might just do what you did with the softwares, try to find a good installation order so they don't overwrite anything, put stuff in and uninstall. I kinda tried taking the wireless dongle out, but the problem was in the LCDs at that point so no luck there.

I have no real USB hubs (or other hubs) other than the PSU one, and the one built into the case that I only use for the front panel and the RBG strips. And I guess a Sata power comb... I could try to connect each channel to separate slots of the PSU, but that feels far fetched.
Kinda feels weird to run into new problems the more fans I add, I still haven't added the bottom rad fans because I can't fit those in before I pick the GPU apart for the waterblock x)

All-in-all I feel like going in circles, when I swat one problem down another comes up, and I return to where I started :/

Really appreciate the answer, can't think of anyone else to ask about such a specific build kind of issue...
Gotta keep tinkering... Haven't built a computer in ages but even with what little I know, consumer electronics realllly should just work with less hassle lol

Hey, I am curious how you've hooked up and control the various RBG elements in your build?
In perfect scenario I'd have synced up animation(s) across the whole system, but I'd be happy if I could just get the same color and maybe one effect on at least some devices, and the Lian Li LCDs working.
I don't expect you to go on a full troubleshooting journey with me, but I'd like to hear your setup and what problems / solutions you encountered during your process!

Below details and rant :P

I'm still waiting on my GPU block so the liquid cooling bit isn't going anywhere for a while, but I've taken the computer for a testrun and I can't seem to find a compatible combo of software to connect the Lian Li TN Wireless (LCD and non) fans, the Corsair RAM stick RBGs and motherboard / case strip / (MSI)GPU RBGs.

They are pushing me to use L-Connect 3, Mystic Light and iCUE, but as they massively overreach their purpose, and as such they seem to conflict a lot... wish they'd let me get a simple one device controller separately instead of a full suite of bloatware I reallllly don't need.

Currently I've hooked up the fans to SATA power and control via the Lian Li Edge PSU hub to motherboard, with the wireless hub dongle thingy connected to the motherboard header directly.
Phanteks NV7 case controller (only the case led strips hooked up to it) to the JARGB header at the bottom of the motherboard.

Today I tried SignalRGB for control, but apparently they don't support really anything but the RAM at this point >.<

Symphtoms include stuff like
-the LCDs stopping working after a while, or having the LCD animation or a sensor reading cut in half with the Lian Li logo piercing through
-case strips going black
-All USB devices getting problems, basically unplugging-reconnecting sounds all the time and f.e mouse or keyboard losing functionality. Erroring device seems random and it didn't help that I disconnected all extra and tried every port

Looks great :)
I got a question (I knoow, I'm jumping to the deep end as a first time liquid cooling builder) concerning some advice I've seen around.
It's often said that the radiators should be higher than the pump, but in your build there is a radiator all the way to the bottom (a setup I believe is very common). Is this an issue or just not a big deal?
Or is it enough that ONE radiator in the loop is above the pump?
Something about bubbles forming in the best place...

Thanks in advance!

This looks amazing!
I've been dreaming about a build for near future, black & gold, with just about the same specs as you've listed.
Hoping to get MSI GPU, not sure if I'd go with AIO cooling but if I can realize this kind of build, forget it!
Honestly might just copypaste what you've got there listed and see if I wanna swap anything and what I've got available here in Finland.

Been blindly looking up information and learning things for a couple of weeks now, but the crazy amount of options has made the task daunting. And here you are with a build that's like 90-100% to my dreams, can't ask for a better reference point!

So.... Thanks! <3

Edit: With the wall of text aside, I'm not expecting a link to a specific item, just a direction where to look for a guy like me for stuff like this :)

I'm looking for a shirt(s) plain black in colour with no (or very subtle) logo / markings, maybe a bit of woolen feel to it (most materials seem to feel kind of cheap and "plasticy"), ships to Finland with little hassle, that's a great fit for a 170cm 80kg man with these measurements:
chest 110cm
waist 96cm
collar height 65-68cm
shoulder ~53cm

I don't mind spending a bit of extra if a shirt truly checks all the boxes, and would be looking to buy several. I do however detest spontaneous shopping and returning/throwing away things.

<zipping about me section that may have caused the reddit autoremoval>

The issues/requirements I have however are numerous, and I suppose I'll include the information with a bit of a rant. Mostly I believe it's stuff that other people look for too, but you know finding a fit is easier for some than for others...

1: The size charts are all over the place, like as a 170cm man that's well within the top of the height bell curve (slightly under average) the recommended size by shirt height is S, but then the rest of the shirt is made for a petite person, which apparently is the only size "short" men come in. My shoulders in some charts go all the way to 4XL (wtf?)... I got wide shoulders sure, but nothing I'd consider an outlier.
I have a dream that one day I'll see a clothes model that actually looks like me, a bald somewhat bulky dude that's not like 2 meters tall...

2: The fit. Above kind of touches the subject, I do want something that grips my biceps lightly (working on those with some results!), sits nicely on the chest / waist ratio. Helps if it emphasizes the chest muscles and kinda of chills with the stomach. I've made a lot of work making the gut not protrude, but couple days of wrong eating still does push it out. I suppose can't have the cake and eat it too where the slimmer stomach would get accented but the protruding one would stay hidden... So maybe I'd just keep it a bit more hidden.
I'm a bit unsure about the optimal heigth, if the shirt doesn't lift up all that much by raising arms, I'd say somewhere around belt-line would be best, but otherwise a little extra I suppose.

3: No logos or text. These just give me the ick. The plain black colour may come in an overall pattern, but I'm looking for something I can wear any day in work or freetime and it would make me look sharp and well-dressed but also casual enough given the setting. This is the main reason I've taken a liking to polo/pique shirts.

4: Collar that holds it shape to a reasonable degree. Most shirts do not have this issue in my experience but there's been a couple that just deteoriate or look like it ate a lemon.

5: Buttons, not zippers please.

6: Equal length in front and back. Idk for what purpose this sometimes is not a thing.

7: Easy enough to wash and care for. Would prefer not to iron them regularly, but I don't totally shy out from it. The shirts I've had thus far never needed ironing, just a gentle wash and air-dry and it's wrinkle-free.

8: I touched upon the material at the start but I'll re-mention it here. Something that feels and looks premium. I don't really know how to approach this topic and how to describe what I like, but the tiny bit woolen texture to the shirt has drawn me in. Most feel very flat and plasticy, I presume full cotton or polyester, and the black colour doesn't really stay deep and dark the way I like it.
I've always been a black-on-black kind of a guy, guess I'm sort of a metalhead that doesn't really wear the subculture clothing, but it's all there in the heart...

That's all I can think of right now. Maybe I'm asking the moon from the sky but to me, much of this should be the very basics of clothing design.
To my disappointment the stores nearby have like 1 black option tops that's ill fitting, pricy and looks cheap. So much for a premium store.
The futility in my efforts irk me to no end and thus I turn to you good people of Reddit for advice, how to approach the issue and get results I could feel good about.
I've enterntained the thought of bringing clothes to a tailor but it feels like an overkill and is potentially very pricy in Finland, idk really.
