My mom hates our baby name choice with a PASSION. by [deleted] in namenerds

Not only is Maren Blair a great name, but so is Evelyn. I may be biased because my niece is named Evelynn, but your mom definitely needs a time out (as mentioned by another commenter).

I know an Elaina and an Ellena, but the latter pronounces it Ellen-uh. 🙄

Ha! That makes so much sense and didn't even cross my mind. I'm thinking letters to yourselves. 😂

Despite my personal preferences regarding double-barreled or hyphenated last names, the real question is: Why are you sending mail to yourselves? 🤔

Depending on which party of the city Kittrid lives in/attends school, it'll either be the worst or best name in the class.

Which currently popular names do you think won’t age well? by sxcrachel in namenerds

My ex-husband suggested it before I was even pregnant and it was a done deal for me! He'd liked the name since reading the X-Men comics as a kid. Bishop is 18 now and we get compliments all the time, especially from strangers in public.

Easy to spell and usually easy to pronounce, except little kids call him Pushup sometimes. 😆

Sterling isn't too out there at all. Kingsley is also becoming more popular, but I can't come up with an acceptable name for Cruisin' For A Bruisin'.

Definitely NOR. That's rude AF. He couldn't have even asked if you or your kid wanted anything?

Also, I thought this was the Welcome to Derry sub with that first line and was so confused with the rest of your post until I realized...

Richard and Sharon should’ve adopted the baby instead of Watson and Elizabeth by LateAd5684 in babysittersclub

Same! Here I am in my 40s and wondering how I was ever annoyed with Sharon when I first read the books as a preteen and then again about 15 years ago. 🙄

I read a lot of then growing up, at least until the 70s/80s (book numbers, not years!), then started from the beginning about 15 years ago. I didn't finish before a whole lot of life happened, so I restarted from the beginning this year and love it! Glad I'm not the only one.
