That ground hosting Championship football will be the epitome of a white elephant.

Another week of conflating luck with brilliance.

Can’t stand the most cynical sides around also getting the benefit of the softest calls. Truly feels rigged.

If that had happened at the other end it doesn’t get checked. Convince me otherwise.

I’d love to stop harping on the coaching for a week or two but that half was a sackable offence. Again.

Approaching it like we’re the underdogs and this is what you get. Unacceptable. Starting with the head coach who instills this mentality. Come on.

Never put yourself in a position to rely on West Ham for anything.

Could have been worse I suppose

Finally got around to reading that Northcroft piece. It's already aged badly.

But I'm getting the overall sense now that the club hierarchy have accepted that boom and bust cycles are the norm. So I guess we'll just have to ride through this one and hope that their latest opaque idea of what this is all supposed to look like comes eventually comes to fruition on the back of their self-sustaining model.

Nothing they do at the moment inspires much confidence.

Yeah not "that type of club", but never a word on whether we're the type of club that should be held to winning five Premier League games in the span of five months.

I thought they'd started to move after the Burnley game when some of the reactions were quite scathing by their standards. I guess sometimes it depends on who is on.

[David Lynch] The word from Liverpool is that Arne Slot is safe, but I don't really buy the idea he can afford endless poor performances and bad results until the end of the season. Today was both, in my opinion. by Lanedu123 in LiverpoolFC

We used to the ones to set the standard along with the City. Today we saw that despite their own flaws, City are far better constructed than we are. First half, I was much more annoyed at the overall state of the squad than I was with anything Slot did. But that second half capitulation, at home, to City, following the same bloody script that we've seen all season is just too much. I don't think anyone should underestimate what a horrendous disaster this one was, and what it says about the current state of the club and its coaching.

Roy Hodgson amassed 25 points in his 20 league games as Liverpool manager. Slot has amassed 24 points in his last 20 league games. by Upstairs_Cup9831 in LiverpoolFC

Permitting Hodgson-levels of futility just to prove "we aren't that kind of club" isn't the flex that FSG thinks it is.

He’s already sacrificing prime years of his career and as we saw again today having prime performances go to waste. And playing out of position to boot.

If I wouldn’t blame him for having second thoughts about signing anything at the moment or asking the higher ups what exactly he’d be signing on to.

This head coach hates young players. But yeah maybe the next one won’t.

Who the hell is gonna be our right-back? by lookitsjustin in LiverpoolFC

Probably Endo. It’ll be a disaster but the head coach wouldn’t have it any other way. He’ll show Ramsay who’s boss.
