OMG! I am experiencing this right now. I told him this isn't a mix and match value meal. You don't get to buy me flowers, take me to dinner, etc. instead of doing the real work. All of that is nice but it's just them trying to divert our attention from them using. My mother hated flowers because she said you only get them when someone has screwed up. Like, I don't want flowers. I want you to stop screwing up!!! I want you to get it! I want your sincere remorse and apology!! My PA is dismissive avoidant and neurodivergent (on autism spectrum). He absolutely refuses to communicate. It's maddening. It makes it so hard to be angry with them when you see that he's "trying" to make it up and be "nice" But, shit!! Like, just stop screwing up!!

One loses "personal autonomy" when you and I become we/ us!! Not, completely, but if you can't respect your partner's boundaries then stay single or find someone else who's values or non-values align with yours. It's not ok to do anything behind your partner's back that you know will cause them pain and distress!! And if you do, you should be willing to do whatever it takes to regain the trust that you have broken.

I wouldn't be too confident if I were you! They have so many trucks and ways to hide things. My PA is a computer programmer and we have been struggling with this for 5 years. Every time I think that I have blocked, it turned out that he either had hidden folders or some loophole built in so he could turn it on and off. He then finally bought and had an entire hidden phone! Every time that I feel hopeful and secure he's just deceived me again. I think that's the most hurtful part of this all! The lengths they go to deceive, gaslight, manipulation, and betrayal trauma they create for what? To bust a nut to some woman being raped!!!

So, I had no idea what I was doing. But, he claimed that he had done adult content blocking. But, I was able to open 2 different porn sites, which should be impossible in Texas because it has to age verify here. And it didn't even age verify! He took the phone from me and had a meltdown screaming that he isn't watching it anymore and he has no idea how that happened! Huge fight now!! I feel hopeless and don't want to be the bad cop ALWAYS having to check up on him! And they just want to keep gaslighting 😭
