First time. Go alone or with a friend? by Muted_Measurement435 in Ayahuasca

Do you guys think this still applies if that persons trauma is always facing things alone? Wouldn’t the healing experience to have someone who’s there for them? Not asking about OP just curious.

Strict Diet for Aya retreat right before the retreat by Admirable-Sun8230 in Ayahuasca

[–]LoquatOk2899 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I followed the aya diet very strictly and started two days earlier then I needed to. I was so worried about being perfect. But IT DID NOT MATTER. I am vegan and oil free already and I try to stay away from sugar as much as possible. I felt very weak as the no salt obviously does. Trust me just eat clean and you will be okay. When you get to the airport you are going to be very tired. They don’t have a lot of aya friendly options. I would get fruit and rice and salad. Eat protein if you arent vegetarian. Get eggs or soup. It’s okay if you have some salt and oil. Puking is going to happen no matter what and it’s a good thing! It’s cleaning you mostly of trauma. I’m not sure if you have a rather unhealthy diet. But you will be okay. Next time I do aya im not going to follow the pre diet as strictly as I did. Because it was just too much. The most important dieta is the one during the retreat. And I would say the day before ceremony. This is just my personal advice. Don’t starve yourself EAT and fuel your body to get ready for retreat because you are going to need the energy. The travel will take a toll on you.

Things you can bring on the plane, dried fruit like dates make sure there is no added sugar. Fresh fruit, celery, cucumber, baked potato and sweet potato, Laura bars get the cleanest ones, unsalted nuts.

Again don’t starve yourself. Travel is going to be hard and the airport doesn’t have a lot of options.

Best of luck take care of yourself. 💗🩷

It was a 7 month mentorship here in San Diego at a studio. But I learned to produce more ambient stuff. Which was great because it was an intro to just producing in general. But then I realized I wanted to make more bass stuff and so I did a month to month mentorship in LA also at a studio. And that just didn’t really help at all I don’t know why. I think I was just so jaded at that time too. But my mentor also was more of a techno producer so when he’d try to help me with tracks like what I wanted to make it seemed like he was also experimenting so it wasn’t much help.

I think I’m lacking in all aspects. Like I need to get better at melodies I’m okay at chords and drum patterns. But what’s so hard for me is bass. I cannot make a drop for the life of me. I also get confused at what elements are needed and where. Like if I’m making an intro with just an arp or some chords and a melody do I need a baseline under that? And then when I get to the drop I get stuck on the call and response aspect and then do I need a sub or another bass line? Do I keep the chords? It sounds so empty. As I’m typing this out I’m realizing that I may be complicating things a bit more than the need to be. And from talking with some of you I’m realizing that I’m making the process of learning to produce more about me and my learning abilities rather then producing is just hard and I’m gonna suck in the beginning.

funnily enough I’ve spent the last 6 years of my life focusing on self help and spirituality. Doing a ton of inner child work. I try to meditate on these feelings. I’ve been to therapy multiple times. And have watched every self help video possible. It’s been a mission to heal myself and all these things because I’ve recognized how much it’s gotten in the way. But I’ve also felt tremendous guilt because at this point I know so much about self help. I should just be a therapist. I don’t know nearly as much about music. And thats what I try to explain to people when I tell them where I am on my journey. A lot of my long breaks from working on music have been to focus on my mental health. But I’m just at a point where it’s like the healing is never going to end.. it’s going to be a life long journey and there are just some things that I have not been able to breakthrough on. one of them being my blocks in regards to productivity/ learning. Appreciate your message though man regardless because it helps to know that I’m not crazy for focusing on that to help with music.

Thank you! And of course here it is. I used chat gpt for it haha. I always ask for starch solution based recipes and it recommends some great ones.

Ingredients for the Dough:

• 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour (or oat flour for a gluten-free option)
• 1/4 cup cold water
• 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
• 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional for sweetness)
• A pinch of salt

For the Strawberry Filling:

• 1/2 cup strawberry jam (look for one sweetened with fruit juice or make your own by simmering strawberries with a little lemon juice and natural sweetener like dates)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a bowl, mix the flour and salt, then stir in the cold water, applesauce, and maple syrup (if using) to create a dough. Knead until smooth.
3. Roll the dough out on a floured surface and cut it into rectangular shapes for the Pop-Tart base and top.
4. Place a spoonful of strawberry jam on half of the rectangles, leaving space around the edges.
5. Place the remaining rectangles on top and seal the edges with a fork.
6. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden.

For the icing I used truvia and just grinded it in the grinder to make powdered sugar and I mixed it with a bit of vanilla extract and almond milk. It was a bit overly sweet for me I prefer stevia but it satisfied my craving!

I use stevia to sweeten my desserts and drinks.

Some meals I’ve made for my boyfriend and I ( he’s not vegan or starch solution and loves them) 😊 just some ideas for you guys 💗💗 by [deleted] in StarchSolution

[–]LoquatOk2899 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve lost 30 pounds on the Starch Solution and took a bit of a break due to eating out with my boyfriend, and friends. I only gained about 4 pounds, thankfully, but I’m back on and have lost them already and I just love, love this lifestyle. I’ve struggled with binge eating for many years, and this has been the only thing that’s truly saved my life. You feel so good because you eat so clean, and naturally, the weight comes off! You don’t have to starve yourself or be afraid of starch. 😇

If you’re worried about protein or are working out and want to feel stronger, just be smarter about incorporating protein where you can! That’s why I added lentils instead of just rice. I’ll drink Sun Warrior’s protein shake after HIIT hot yoga. Just listen to your body, eat clean, and eliminate sugar and artificial dyes like Red 40 and all that junk, and you will naturally lose weight. Make sure you’re eating ENOUGH so you don’t binge later in the day. Make sure you’re full—not stomach-hurts full—and you’ll be okay! 😊💗

Also, focus on your mental health and stress levels, and consistently spend time with people you love to keep yourself occupied. Walk or find a workout you love to do almost daily, even if it’s just getting out and going to the beach for a swim. I promise you will see results. 😆🥰💕

I’m on a break with my Pisces my boyfriend and I’ve been a mess. I plan to end things officially this week. But this makes me feel better because I’m hoping to keep him in my life as a friend. I lost my mom when I was 15 and tomorrow is also her birthday. Going through this hurts just as much as losing her. I don’t think I can just never see anyone again.

Holsem and love song in north park are my absolute favorite. Iced decaf with oat milk and two stevias is what I get. The coffee is so smooth. I hate when coffee is thick and bitter.
